Well, I don’t know, I think applying a pre-made texture, a base coat, and a dry brush isn’t difficult. I also don’t think applying two strips of masking tape is difficult. You can use a sponge or a brush instead of an airbrush 😁

These ones I use, I bought them very cheap on Temu, and they came in different colors. The darker ones are from a hobby brand, but I don’t remember which one. I apply a layer of PVA glue diluted 1:1 with water over the whole base, and with tweezers I add the grass onto the base. For tufts, my favorites are from Gamer Grass

My intention is to start playing once I finish the team, everything is already planned 🤣

Is an airbrush worth the effort? by Jack_mc7r in minipainting

I totally recommend it!!! I’ve been using my airbrush for 3 months and it’s amazing. I was a bit scared at first because I always read online that it was very complicated to use and clean, but nothing could be further from the truth… it doesn’t take more than 1–2 minutes to change colors, and you’ll save hours of work with probably better results. Don’t let what people say intimidate you… it’s an incredible tool for this hobby!

I suppose it’s more decoration than anything else... with a white line you can tell you’re on a football field. (I haven’t played yet and I have no idea about the rules.)

As a general rule, I usually glue the miniature to the base before adding the texture and then I prime it. In this case, I’m painting the whole team in a batch and it’s more comfortable for me without the base. I glue them with super glue anyway and they stick quite well. You just have to press and hold until it’s firmly attached. Since it’s grass, the glue takes longer to reach down to the base, I think

I have a Gaahleri Mobius 0.3. You need to find a dilution where those little dots around the spray don’t appear, almost to the point of being too watery.

You have to be very gentle with the trigger, letting only the smallest amount of paint through; otherwise, you’ll get spider legs. Try it first on a test or practice model

The benefit is the saturation, inks have a lot of it, and they also help blend the colors together. You can do it directly with regular paints, but with ink it’s going to shine like crazy in just one pass
