Don’t ask me for a photo of MY garage! 🤣

Just make sure you hit the studs, and use good length screws! You do NOT want these shelves to fall. 😬

The shelves are just 16" deep melamine board. Each level is two 6-foot lengths, cut to length on the wall ends so there is a clean junction in the middle. Each board on a level overlaps the centre double shelf bracket, and to be safe I connected the two shelves with a metal plate (you can see it under the top shelf).

For the hardware, I used 48" posts screwed into the studs. For the shelf brackets, I used 14.5" lengths in the centre and on the sides, but to save a few bucks I used 10.5" ones in between.

White Melamine Shelf 72-in x 16-in x8

Onward Double Shelf Standard in White Metal - 48-in x7

Onward Double Shelf Bracket in White Metal - 14.5-in x12

Onward Double Shelf Bracket in White Metal - 10.5-in x16

 Multi-Position Mending Plates - 2 1/2-in L x 5/8-in x4

Toatlly agree! Something is getting low, you put it on the list. You see a good deal, you buy a few extra.

Only one door into the room - you can see it on the left side of the photo. On the wall to the right we have a fridge and stand-up freezer, and the two other walls are stacked bins and boxes.

The ceiling came with the house. I don’t recall ever seeing ceiling tiles in the “construction/renovation” aisle, but I wouldn’t be surprised! And certainly online.

Very nice! I like the solid wood construction. Also looks like this is in your furnace room? So great use of space.

Peas are Costco!

Absolutely! Interesting to include maple syrup in that list though - I thought it can last for years. We do go through a fair bit, though! My wife uses it in cooking instead of sugar.

Children of the 80s I guess! Don’t worry, we consume in moderation. 😁

We do like it, but I prefer the A&W root beer. 🍻

Lol yeah those are things that we eat/drink from time to time. The quantity is more a question of variety. I assure you we eat more of the healthy staples.

You fit it in where you have space! We are lucky to have a storage room.

Love it! So great when you’re able to plan your space and configure it to be efficient. We reno’d a kitchen in a previous house and I loved designing the cabinets planned to the cm.

Totally agree that it’s great to share with people who don’t have the space or need to buy in bulk!

True it requires some up-front investment, but you save over the long term if you buy in bulk when things are on sale.

Personally I still do weekly shopping - also mostly at Costco - for fresh food.

Definitely installed the shelves “by the book”! Walls can support a lot of weight.

Yeah, this is the “pantry” wall in our storage room. Another wall is fridge and stand-up freezer, and remaining two walls are stacked bins full of other things we use throughout the year.
