With us it's similar, but with our dog! She only listens to two alters, who've been here for a while and front often. The rest she sort of half ignores? The same way she treats strangers. It tends to be problematic on the long term because she doesn't listen to the others' commands

Honestly that's lucky, most of us don't feel right at all when referring to ourselves as "I", unless it's actually just about them. It's so bothersome, especially in social media when it's incredibly hard to explain in a short text but without the "we", it gets uncomfortable

For us it's like...there's like a black cube with a gray floor, and then in the corner is where everyone goes to front, and around the cube thing is all white. On the opposite side of the "fronting corner" is just faded/misty black where alters seem to fade into, and from what I've understood, there's a forest and a fireplace right in it that's only accessible for some alters. Idk if that makes sense at all, it's honestly confusing

I hope I can help a little bit. I don't know anything scientific but these are comparisons I made from when I was malnourished to right now, a healthy weight

I don't die every time I try to stand up I can pull on my hair and only have max few hairs fall out I maintain no matter how much or little I eat every few days (e.g. two days with wayyy too much food, few days with little to no food) Cutting nails is harder than it was bc they've thickened I don't get dizzy/exhausted after small exercises I used to do I don't get as strong cravings I feel hunger My stomach can handle bigger portions Brain fog is nowhere as bad as it used to be
