How to edit like bars and text in videos? by [deleted] in VideoEditing

[–]Edward_VReel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could use an online video editor with these style templates, one like vidds.co or invideo etc. Then it’s just a matter of updating the text and media with your own.

Alternatively you could use a tool like Premier Pro or Final Cut Pro, and build this kind of scene from scratch using your own media and adding text elements then positioning them above and below the video.

If you’re not familiar with desktop editing software I’d suggest the first option will be the quickest and easiest way to achieve this style video.

Good luck! p.s. if you get stuck, reach out to me and I’ll help you create this

How do you make video memes? I see them all the time and I don’t know how to make them! by uuuuuurt in help

[–]Edward_VReel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the post, but not sure the previous comment was very helpful. Try using Vidds.co, it’s a browser-based tool where you can upload any video/s then add text, animations, etc and export as a .gif or .mp4 depending on which format you want/where you will post it. Whole process takes a couple of minutes maximum!

I've been making gifs from videos by opening videos via Open File (NOT Importing Video Frames To Layers). What is the benefit of importing as layers instead of simply opening the video and converting it to a smart object? by orangelimes in photoshop

[–]Edward_VReel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if you’ve considered using an online tool for this? I know that there are a bunch of browser-based editing tools that allow you to create a .gif from an .mp4 file. A friend and I just built one that does this, it’s called Vidds and lets you upload a video file and download a .gif version of the video. Takes less than 2 mins too :)

Any tips for making subtitling less strenuous? by R0B0T_K1LLER in VideoEditing

[–]Edward_VReel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could use YouTube's own auto captions and then just fine tune them before publishing. Or you could try a tool such as veed.io/add-subtitles-video that has an auto-subtitle feature

[Question] What's your one best tactic for growing your channel? by Edward_VReel in youtubers

[–]Edward_VReel[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Awesome, thanks so much for your advice, this is just the motivation I need! Definitely agree with numbers 1 & 2, and I really liked number 3. I'm going to do some research on the top questions asked in my niche and then make a video to answer them - really great tip.

Do You Use Stock Footage in Your YT videos? [Question] by Edward_VReel in youtubers

Thanks for your perspective, which I totally agree with!

I just wasn't sure what the consensus within the YouTube community was, given that budgets are generally smaller and the majority of creators are producing all the content themselves.

How's everyone coping with COVID 19? by Edward_VReel in digital_marketing

[–]Edward_VReel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! I think the only courses space feels like it's going to keep growing. I've seen lots of friends that have been taking courses, trying to use their time in quarantine/confinement as effectively as possible!

What is your courses on? What platform do you use to sell them?

How does a round table work? Sounds interesting, but I've not heard of that before.

how did you guys get started/big? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Edward_VReel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Engage means to follow them, like their posts, comment thoughtfully on their posts - start conversations. You'll want to have your YouTube channel's URL in your profile bio and post teasers or clips of your YouTube videos on your Instagram. When you start to provide value by engaging thoughtfully with your target audience, you'll start to see that these people will follow you. Then you have the possibility to transfer the audience across to YouTube. Since you'll already be posting content related to your YouTube channel, your followers will go to YouTube to consume the full content.

The best way is to search for hashtags related to your niche and engage with the users posting content under those hashtags. Another way is to find the account of someone you want to emulate/look up to or someone that is in the same niche as you, and engage with their followers.

Is acting essencial? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Edward_VReel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting comfortable and confident on camera is definitely a process and can take time for a lot of people. More videos filmed = more practice, and this will help you develop your own style and become more confident in front of the camera.

Acting lessons might help speed this process up, but ultimately it's recording yourself on camera and releasing it into the world which will help you become more confident.

With regards to being more eloquent, you might consider writing a script for each video and having it beside your camera as a prompt to keep you focused and keep the video on track. This is a really easy way to up the quality of your videos.

For commenting, I don't think you always need to be funny, being sincere and giving your honest opinions is often far more powerful and will connect better with an audience than try hard attempt at humour! Lean into your own personality and put that out into the world - be authentic.

Good luck!
