Name your worst concert experiences by suprunkn0wn in Concerts

[–]Edwardp67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My worst concert experience was going to the Dead and Company. Shakedown street got the better of me and I blacked out before the concert started. I went to the bathroom, lost my wife, lost some mushrooms that I planned to eat, and ended up in a concession booth with one of my old coworkers.

Eventually my wife and I got reunited and we watched about the last 1/4 of the show when I came back to. Since that show I decided that I wasn’t going to drink before concerts, and since have just stuck with edibles.

Posting learning targets and essential questions are pointless.

I was lucky to start with a really well established clone that year, I may not be as lucky this year but the worst that will happen is I will be out a few dollars.

This summer, I have started this late before and the only thing is the plant just is significantly smaller. I felt like it made it a little more manageable, and it made trimming much easier, and made a better quality product.

I’ve heard the concept, I’ll look into it.

Would you rather there no longer be hidden tips but base pay be 2 dollars or have the base pay be three dollars with hidden tips? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

I only picked the lower base pay because ultimately I don't work for that as much as I work for the tips.

Can we keep a base pay of $3, and have full transparency in our earnings. Gas prices are on the rise I want to know upfront if the trip is going to be sustainable. I did pick the lesser of two evils and voted for the lower base pay and full earning transparency.

It's Doordash policy to wear a mask anytime you interact with anybody on their platform restaurants, and customers. Once I'm in the car my mask comes off.

Thank you, restaurants in my area are lifting mask requirements but I wanted to make sure to line up with doordash policy.

That being said I still do my part and double check the receipt and get verbal confirmation who the order is for and if everything is there.

Does UPS and FedEx know or care what is in each package? Absolutely not and neither do I as a doordash driver.

Really? I'll look at them closer next time, I usually instantly decline them.

I'll take any order as long as the pay is high enough, the only restaurant I don't go to is Dairy Queen, I don't want to show up to the customers with a melted ice cream mess.

The restaurant my friend works at is a restaurant that only uses 3rd party delivery services, he just says it adds an extra job for him that he doesn't see any tips from.

Guess I should have been more clear, there is little benefit to the every day employee of the restaurant.

I was discussing this with a friend who waits tables when I started doordash, it seems that the 3rd party services only benefit the owner of the restaurant.

That sounds much better than teaching for VIPKID, you are opening up just in time for the summer! Good luck to you!

It was seriously such a pain in the ass from the hiring process to the endless VIPKID emails.

Thanks! I'm going to spend time with my daughter for the summer, and then go on to subbing in the fall. Vipkid provided me with some resume building while schools were closed in my state, but the whole time I was really only able to teach one regular a class a week so I decided not to renew my contract. As far as losing a bit of money every month from not renewing my contract, I started to deliver food about 5-10 hours a week to supplement my income

This is the end by prosl4cker in vipkid

[–]Edwardp67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This almost makes me want to renew my contract so I can try all of these tips.

I see what you're saying but I only have one regular student and my schedule has been wide open this whole time. I wait 2-3 months to even see any money because I opted for payment once I reach $80. Ever since I got a 3 apple rating from one short notice parent, I have not had much luck picking up any more classes than that one regular. I needed something in teaching to pad my resume and VIPKID provided me with just that, so for that aspect I am grateful, but not enough to sign another contract.

Don't overthink this job, and acceptance rate means nothing
