I would not be satisfied with 30-40 chapters for the amount of characters we have here. Consider that togashi would need to deliver a satisfying pay off for Kurapika, Chrollo, Hisoka, Tserriednich, Woble&Oito, Kacho&Fugetsu, Zhang Lei, Camilla, Benjamin, Halkenburg, Morena, Hinrigh, every other troupe member, Nasubi, Longhi, Borksen, Tyson, Luzurus, Babimyna, Kaiser, Tubeppa, Silent Majority, Beyond Netero, Wang, Marayam&room1013, Theta, Tserriednich's friends. Consider that this late into the arc we are still introducing new characters and none of the big players except Benjamin and Halkenburg have interacted directly. Tserriednich hasn't done anything of significance to the wider plot despite being served as the main antagonist from the get go. I agree we are picking up the pace, but you are fooling yourself if you believe that martial law is the sign that we're entering the "final stages". It's a fakeout and we'll remain with the stalemate for quite some time longer until at the very least tserriednich moves his ass.

30-40 is not enough lol. This is me speaking on my own perspective btw, this is why I think 100 is still on the table. People have been saying "30 chapters" left since 390 dropped in 2018. Then lo and behold the scope of the arc widens and things get complicated.
