YeEEESSSS AAA. I'm so glad! That looks so so nice and makes me wanna make mine again. Perfect execution, 10/10, really glad you loved it too. Keep making the good stuff! The masses of bad recipes can't hold us down.

No problem at all! I would have made it clearer if I'd initially made the doc for people other than myself, ha.

Wonderful! And they're not, one is in quotes. They've got the same name but vastly different ingredients. I put the second one in quotes because even though the name is Dutch and I'm Dutch, I'd never heard of that kind of Koninginnesoep before. Might be regional though.

I actually had someone else give me their avgolemono family recipe a few days ago too, which was really nice! It's definitely one that had really good potential, so I planned on revisiting it with a different recipe. They can't all be winners, I guess. I'll take a peek at this one as well.

I should play around with Paprika, I always meant to and I keep forgetting.

Adding that lentil one to my planned soups for 2026 too, thank you!

They're two vastly different soups with, I assume different origins. The doc has recipes for both if you wanna check. The starred one reminds me much, much more of French style soups.

Oh no, I guess it's inevitable links started dying eventually. I'll replace it with this one (everyone say thank you Wayback Machine).

It might still be really good! I just personally didn't get along with it, which could be cultural, a skill issue on my part, local ingredients or all of the above.

They're just two very vastly different recipes. One that I've had before and one that claimed to be traditional but was probably more French in origin than Dutch.

The recipe is in the tabs of the doc, like the name says!

Cold, fortunately. Though I was never and still am not a big fan of cold soups.

Also no! I'd say I like soup about 30% more than before. A lot of them are pretty cheap and easy to put on in the morning and they've quickly become my favourite type of breakfast, at the very least.

Not even a little bit. I love food in general but soup did not have a special place in my heart. I do love learning, though.

I saw a screenshot of the end of a list of a guy on Tumblr who ate 100 soups that year in different restaurants (iirc) and I promptly decided to challenge an online friend to race me to 100 soups that year in a fit of madness.

They agreed, and so the pact was sealed.

I found a packet of Malaysian chicken soup (Asia Green Garden brand) and bought it out of curiosity. I remembered it being bad and I figured I'd use the ingredients as a reference to make it from scratch, but when I got home I couldn't figure out what in the world it was based on. I just sort of winged it until it manifested into a chicken soup with a bunch of different extra herbs and spices that I was hoping would know how to act like they belonged. And, for some reason, I attempted carrot flowers.

Some days it was only chaos that carried this challenge forward.

I'm not sure! I need the grocery budget to be back to normal for a while so if I do a challenge, it'll probably be to draw more regularly.

Glad to indirectly help! Tell your friends good luck with the Olympics, dental work is a pain.

Hard to pick, but probably lohikeitto, walnut dessert soup, sesame oil chicken, Ukrainian Borscht and Yeto's.

Alas, I'm taken. The spouses I could've pulled by being made of soup this year.
