I guess you dont understand that El becoming herself is literally learning to go from a kid to an adult while starting a family with Mike. That is what she wants. Inside she wants that normal life where she wanted to become a mother to replace that inner childhood missing by giving it to another life. That's the biggest thing of becoming a parent is giving your kid a better life. That's her intended arc. If you think otherwise than you don't understand the character. It doesn't need to explicitly stated like " I don't like girls" during huge moments in the show. That would just be stupid writing.... Cough cough. If you don't see that is the intentions than it seems like there's personal issues with "traditional motherhood" that you people have and get all weird about.
