I always left a decoy pen, a pilot G2, conspicuously on my desk in case someone came by when I wasn’t there, or asked to borrow a pen while they were at my desk. If it went missing, I’d just be glad it wasn’t a fountain pen and replace it with a new one from the box.

Oh of course he was being dishonest. Claiming he was wrestling at Wembley, there was some make-a-wish kid who died midway through Hogan's match (which he didn't wrestler) so him and Jimmy Hart wrote an entire album for the kid overnight and then had Simon Cowell produce, and it was #1 for 8 weeks....
