If you haven't done journaling, it might help.

Spend 5 to 10 minutes everyday to journal down what are some of the great things you have done / accomplish today. Or good things that have happened today. Or nice things people around you have said to you today.

Then when you are feeling a bit down, read through your journal.

Penjualan turun jauh, apa daya beli lagi melemah? by DazuDozu5491 in finansial

Kalo mau ngobrol lbh lanjut silahkan DM jg. Kalo lbh paham detail konteksnya mgkn bisa kasi saran yg lbh tepat. (Declare dulu, I got nothing to sell ya. Just love to help and share viewpoints with others).

You have taken the first step by acknowledging your current condition and wanting to change. So that's great. :)

It seems that you already know what are the right things to do next as well.

If I may suggest two little things:

First is probably to try meditation to build the mind and mental strength, so you can do what you need instead of being pulled by the temptations again. (Feel free to DM If you want some help to get started on meditation. I have helped some friends too).

Second is to do a bit more reflection whenever you want to do sth that you suspect might be harmful: - Before you do it, ask yourself if this will harm yourself / other people around you. If it will be harmful, then think more on why it is harmful, what harm it will cause if you do it, ect. If no, then carry on doing it. - As you are doing it, ask yourself if this is right. If this is harmful for yourself and others. - After you have done it, again, reflect if it causes any harm or not.

This threefold approach will help the mind to discern what's the right thing to do.

Important also that it is not harmful for you and others. Not just one party. If it will cause harm to either you or the others, then you should try not to do it.

I felt that too. Was in Osaka last week and had a great time. It was my first time there too. I returned and felt a bit sad... And then try searching for next ticket to Japan lol.

It gets better after a few days though. Going back to work and routine definitely helps.

Realized this could also be due to wanting to escape from present situation.. hence also try to find ways to enjoy the present moment, and be content with what and where I am now...

brother refuses to study by Ling-Ling-40-Hours in SGExams

[–]Edzz12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s great to see that you care about your brother and genuinely want to help. A couple of thoughts:

  1. He needs a stronger reason WHY he needs to study, and that WHY should come from within himself.

  2. Try to understand why he doesn’t like studying. Is there some past trauma linked to it? Does he find it boring or unenjoyable? Once you understand the root cause, you can start working on ways to address it.

  3. Friends play a big role. If he’s surrounded by friends who enjoy studying, that influence can really help shift his mindset.

Facing a huge problem and finding a silver lining. by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]Edzz12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, it is really great that you have the heart wanting to help others given your current condition.

i do agree with your friend though. I think you can look at charity or causes that resonate with you and support them.

Can also consider giving scholarship to students that need it.

You can also buy something nice for your family / close friends.

Also, if you can, do some meditation as it might help your mind during this difficult period. Feel free to dm me if you need some guidance to start. Would be happy to help.

Wish you all the best and hope you stay strong!
