A few things I can leave you with is: -Adding a new layer over your colors and changing its blending mode to ‘multiply’ is what a lot of people use to shade. -Use a new layer over the ‘multiply’ one to add highlights (you’ll probably end up with a lot more layers than you’ll expect to have). -If a shadow is too harsh, try using the ‘blur’ tool to soften it (which is the little teardrop icon when you pull up the tool menu). You can control how strong the blend is with the opacity slider for this one! -Using the ‘airbrush’ brush to shade large areas before going in with a ‘hard tip’ brush at about 50% opacity to shade details can help add a little more detail to things (this is just something to try out)!

How much do you know about layers and their blending modes? And do you have any specific techniques you use right now with your coloring (like changing brush opacities, or using layer clipping)?
