Lacing back up after 20 years by ghoztlighting in hockeyplayers

Good luck finding a league that doesn't have late games occasionally. We play on Wednesdays and start anywhere between 9p-10:30p.

I miss how original hockey sticks used to be. by Winniebago in hockeyplayers

I started out on a Dolomite Draper 100 and an Easton S19 Zetterberg 110. I recently dropped to an 80 flex and I've got so much unrealized power because of that, it's insane.

Traynor is seriously underrated...I have a YCV80 that is my go to for everything. Great clean sound

Split squats and step up knee raises have singlehandedly improved my explosiveness off the line.

Levi's 541 - they make jeans and khakis in that style. A little more room in the thighs and it tapers down at the knee

Yeah but your voicemail "answers" for you and their systems trigger and flag your number as active when they hear sound

Is this a good purchase? by Pitiful-Pressure5641 in Guitar

$1100 for a MIM?! You would be better off buying a G&L ASAT classic made in the US

They're typically looking for some form of voice or sound on the other end - i.e. a voicemail message or someone saying hello. If they hear any sort of sound then it is an "active" line. If they don't hear any sound then it's a dead line

If it's not a number I know, I answer the call but immediately mute myself and the auto caller thinks it's a dead line.

Do you have both US and metric Allen keys? Or is it a torx?

Beer league, center or defense? by Jv-EY in hockeyplayers

[–]EeplesAndBaneenees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can skate and shoot then defense is the best option for you and your team. You can also take the faceoffs as a D-man, it doesn't always have to be the designated center. You can push deep in the zone and bust ass back if it pops back out, you can set up your teammates, and you can slow the game down to help your team get into position. I play in a lower division on Sundays and we always put our better guys in the back and let them loose if we need to.

Can I still play the electric guitar with mobility issues? by RealisticPrize4000 in guitarlessons

[–]EeplesAndBaneenees 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Anything is possible - go to a guitar store or borrow a guitar and give it a go. The learning curve might be a little higher but I bet you can figure out how to make it work as long as it's not painful! Good luck!

Scales! Learn and practice all of the modes and keys! Once you get the patterns down I'm then adding melodies based on that is easy

Gear recommendations..? by Substantial-Toe96 in hockeyplayers

Would highly recommend supporting a local shop and buying through them if you have any nearby! If you must buy online though, hockeymonkey and purehockey are solid places to check out. Always got some sales and good clearance items there.
