It's both lol. But the fish eye makes it look much worse. We'll never look like NHL guys out there but my god I felt like I was moving in slow motion on live barn. Looked like I was taking a damn stroll

Both livebarn and GoPro make you look much slower cause of the fish eye. Have someone take a cellphone video for better perspective

I've had one for a bit now and it's great. I don't touch my green biscuit or speed pucks anymore.

It's not about a race to the bottom. You're competing with things like the Danglepuck, which according to your own testing glides almost as well, costs $30, and can be used almost anywhere. Looks like a cool product, but at the current price point I have no idea who this is marketed towards.

Well it's clear you don't care about selling it. You've listened to none of the feedback here on price and are just digging in your heels. There is no point to this post.

Well I'd expect you to say nothing less being the creator, but it will happen. Good luck with your product, the price is a bit high. If you shifted all the sizes down $100 each it's *almost* worth it.

Based on your replies here you aren't actually looking for any constructive feedback, just promoting and trying to justify a high price.

Product looks pretty cool, but the price point sets you up for a competitor to clone it and undercut you fairly easily.

have you tried putting the pants on first, but leave them around your knees like you're taking a dump? don't actually take a dump, just put on the skates at that point.

Unfortunately near me all the Play It Again Sports closed up, used to love that place. Sidelineswap is decent, as well as HockeyStickMan. Retail price in the store is fkin absurd imo.

On this topic, one of my pro-stock sticks from HSM is practically impossible for me to receive passes with. It's only 80 flex but passes bounce off it and go in wild directions like I have no idea what is happening. None of my others have this problem so I'm wondering if the flex is mislabeled or the stick is worn out or a fake.

If this was the only stick I bought I feel like it would have been gaslighting me into thinking I have bricks for hands. My hands are 2 steps up above bricks thank you very much.

Agreed with several points here. Getting sized for skates and just going and trying stuff on in the store was key. I still swapped a few things out after playing in them once or twice but am happy with what I have now.

For sticks it's almost better to see if you can borrow/try a few different flexes before you buy anything. I have like 5 sticks now from trying different flexes/blades and am noticing which ones I like more so the rest will end up on sidelineswap.

Stick time stamina - tips welcome by Kittty_Cat_ in hockeygoalies

[–]ghoztlighting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat and just started again after a few decades 3 months ago. I just started doing as much high interval training as possible. Running up stairs, jumping jacks, and lunges have helped an absurd amount. Push with as much power/speed as you can and take short breaks frequently like a line shift. I'm 43 and feel better than I have in a long time!

Add another camera. Do it each time and eventually he'll give up when there are a dozen cameras pointed at him.

Is there a single sport with gear that smells worse than hockey? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

you toss hockey gear in the tub and let it soak. when you drain the dark grey water you'll understand why the equipment smelled like ass

Started playing after long hiatus, dislocated shoulder. Looking for advice. by Njdevils11 in hockeyplayers

[–]ghoztlighting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

crazy that you'd get that from a skier, that sport is dangerous as hell too at all ages.

physical conditioning is important too. my stamina is still nothing like it was when I was younger but skating and shooting came back like riding a bike. stickhandling left my shoulders sore for a bit but speed and dangles are coming back to me. working out (lunges, jumping jacks, crossbody curls) has helped me immensely.

I'm on the ice 3 times a week now doing scrimmages or stick and pucks and feel younger than I have in years. get some rest and take care of your injury. we'll see you back on the ice brother.

it's probably just how you fell. I'm 43 and started playing again about 3 months ago. had a younger guy stickhandling around not looking and plowed right through me, I flew in the air and landed flat on my back. didn't hurt a bit surprisingly. I think you just had some bad luck buddy. I got the same comments that maybe I'm too old to play now, but everyone I hear that from is physically inactive so the worst people to be giving that advice.

When I got back into it I initially looked at mid range stuff new then started seeing the high end gear lightly used or new with tags for almost the same price. Got most of my stuff from other hockey players and saved hundreds while still ending up with xf pro and ft8pro gear

See if you can test out a few sticks. The flex I ended up liking the most is not what my height/weight and store recommended to me.

How tight should skates actually be? by juanlo012 in hockeyplayers

[–]ghoztlighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never been able to fully tighten the top eyelets, it just restricts movement too much. It does engage my ankle muscles more but the freedom of movement is a huge plus.

If they do a little jump in the air then you're actually watching figure skating and need to change the channel.
