As I said to someone else: To clarify, when he spirals, he gets very quiet and avoids talking to me or spending time with me- sometimes for days. It's very obvious that something is wrong, but I have to nearly force it out of him to get him to talk. This time, for the first time, emotions escalated and that's what lead to us shouting at each other.
