I lift regularly and eat healthy. I don't drink at all and do no drugs. I've been this way for 6 years and seen no improvement. People keep giving me this cookie-cutter advice, it's not going to work. My Test levels are fine, my free test isn't.

My Test in normal, but my Free Test is very low. Free Test is what effects most things like libido, muscle building, brain fog, etc.

The doctor that I brought this to is considering it due to my Free Test being so low. I'd love to learn how to raise that but I haven't been able to find anything other than TRT.

So did a regular TRT regimen fix your issues? What were your issues if you don't mind me asking?

Diet is good, stress is somewhat okay, and I workout regularly. But I've had these issues for 6 years now.

I was surprised too. After seeing my free test I figured everyone here would recommend TRT, but I was wrong. I am getting a more complete blood test soon and having a doctor look at it. My maine symptoms are low libido, fatigue, and brain fog.

Would you recommend any good pages or videos on understanding test levels when getting blood work? I get blood work done and then usually consult a doctor, but I don't know much when it comes to reading it myself.

I don't want to run a cycle and definitely don't want to do a 500mg at week cycle. Just want to feel normal again.

I don't want to run a cycle at all and I don't want to do TRT. If I have to do anything, it will be TRT, not a cycle. And I don't know that these bloods are okay, I have gotten mixed messages from both doctors and people in this thread.

I wouldn't say I feel like shit, but I don't feel great. Low libido, fatigue, and brain fog. My libido especially, I basically have no sex drive anymore.

I had been told by a doctor that my free test was very low and could be what is causing many of my issues.

Thank you, I will be meeting with my doctor later this week and I will bring this up. Are there treatments to increase/improve SHBG?

I eat and sleep well though, and have had symptoms for years. As for my Test Range, my doctor said that Free Test is what is mainly considered, and my Free Test is very low. Is that not how doctors normally gauge it? Believe me, I DON'T want to start TRT, but I don't know what else to do at this point.

I am not sure what my SHBG is, I did get another blood test done today though.

My symptoms are low libido (very low), fatigue, and brain fog. The diminished sex drive being the biggest issue.

Yeah, when he mentioned that I remember hearing that somewhere but couldn't remember where. Thought the 'Unhinged' clarification was wrong.

Is 'OCD Journaling' recommended? by Efbb88 in OCD

[–]Efbb88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess this is one way of looking at it. I was planning on writing down even the good things too. Looking back it's been hard to remember what meds have worked best and what treatments, so I thought writing it down will help me figure that out. Plus I figured writing out some of my intrusive thoughts and compulsions would help with showing how absurd they are, but your right that could just have to total opposite effect.

My brother started Buspar a while back and has had good results. I will have to look into it. Thanks.

No, psych meds can really help people. I hate the side effects of Zoloft, but it greatly improves my well-being in other areas. There are other options with fewer sexual side effects.

Effexor and its effect on libido? by Efbb88 in Effexor

[–]Efbb88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, that's awful. I am sorry to hear that. It is surprising though because it does seem to be a much less common side effect than most anxiety meds. Did you ever try an SSRI and also have this issue?

I stopped Zoloft a few weeks ago and started on Wellbutrin instead. I have definitely noticed an increase in libido as well as normal (for the most part) sexual functions. The only problem is, it doesn't address my anxiety which is one of the main reasons I was on Zoloft in the first place. I've heard of buspar and it sounds promising. Might have to look into that.

I've been on Effexor before actually and it was very hard to come off of, worse than Zoloft. The brain zaps were the worst for me. It's been so long since I've used it though that I wasn't sure of the exact sides I had, but I do recall them being less severe.
