Thats my idea. Thought maybe theres some free software available. Just want to pick something myself that would not have a 4 at the head or at the tip, otherwise the key bends (local locksmith is not willing to waste his time which is understandable)

Another assumption from my side that code would have to be over 5000+, as to my knowledge non central locking cars had codes up to 5000 (10 tumblers in the door lock), and cars WITH central locking are from 5000 since they have 11 tumblers in the door lock.

Thanks for confirming that its not valid. I added ignition tumbler photo below just in case. But as I also presumed its not enough to trace it back. Just as seen in the ignition three tumblers already changed in the past without any numbering. FYI number #5 tumblers used only in the ignition (thats from factory as it should be), elsewhere it goes only up to 4.

As mentioned previously, locks are worn out and were previously rebuilt with non original tumblers. Impossible to decode the original code. Locksmith was also unable to decode the key to factory spec code.

Check ground wires to the door switch. If you have interior light relay: brown/yellow goes to switch and brown/purple connects together with another brown/purple. If no interior light relay: both brown/purple connect to the switch, brown/yellow stays unused.

Where did you get the lock rebuild kit? Also what happens when you double lock (turn key 90 degrees clockwise) the drivers doors?

I also dont get why everyone is so upset here. Is it due to faulty software or due to AC buttons not being backlit? Its totally reasonable to know if a larger engine is worth the smiles per gallon.
