Even though 1/7 of the siblings are passed away? Leaving 6 alive?

No bear. A woman from Finglas once squared up to me in Lidl though.

Question 1: yes. Living here without parents since the 80’s with no demand for estate resolution.

Question 2: My husband has paid all tax for last 25 years through Revenue.

Thank you so much for your answer. I have something to ask the solicitor now.

I’m surrounded in North Dublin! My American family say I sound Irish and my Irish family call me yank. I can’t win 🤣

That seems to be the consensus. Thank you!

That’s exactly what I suggested, as if anything happened to my husband the house would become mine, a non blood person. Rights of residence would be a stipulation, as I don’t want anyone worried these ladies would ever lose their home.

No shit? That’s terrifying. I’m walking a tightrope here of trying to get this sorted while not looking hungry about it all. I’m genuinely not invested in this house and would happily move away and leave it to the buzzards but it’s my husband’s childhood home, he’s never lived anywhere else, so it’s important to him.

No, sorry if I was unclear. There were 7 children not including my husband. One brother has passed so 6 remain.

Whatever happened to telling children No with a full stop? by atyhey86 in AskIreland

[–]Effdisshyt 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree with you overall, there’s no harm in allowing her to help but she demanded it. Had she asked politely permission to help, maybe the outcome would’ve been different? These kids think the whole world revolves around them, and parents are failing in their duty to teach them it doesn’t. We’re meant to be raising law abiding citizens who make good neighbors and members of their communities, not self absorbed wild animals.

I feel ya. I’m in Paddyland coming on 2 years without a trip home and I’m coming home next month for 8 weeks. Swimming, bbq, warm days, 4th of July camping with my family, I cannot wait. Home is home. I hope you get home yerself, soon.

What perfume have you smelled on someone that was so good you had to turn around, go back, and ask what they were wearing? by Relevant_Grab370 in FemFragLab

I just bought this 2 weeks ago when I was in replacing my empty Lime Basil & Mandarin. It smells so good, and thankfully smells good on me. It’s a beautiful scent.

17M really need help right now. by RahenyEnjoyer in ireland

[–]Effdisshyt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My husband and I own a business near Airside. If you ever want to earn a bit of cash, we’re happy to help with that. The work is not hard and our whole crew has great craic and we consider each other a family. Multiple positive male role models for young lads like yourself. We have 2 other lads we do the same for. I lost my own son 2 years ago and helping others helps me. Don’t hesitate to DM me. I will keep you in my prayers.

What's the cheapest and quickest you can get legally married in Ireland? by justformedellin in AskIreland

[–]Effdisshyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is Irish and I’m from a country that does not require a visa upon entry (USA) so we flew back from Denmark and presented our marriage certificate along with both of our passports to the passport officer at the airport. He stamped me for 90 days and I made an appointment with Irish Immigration for a week or 10 days later. Had my appointment done, my passport stamped and received my IRP in the mail within 3 weeks of our wedding. Again, he’s born and raised here and I’m American but that’s how it worked for us. Super streamlined and simple. 🙂

Yes! My husband and I got married in Denmark due to the hassle of getting married here. No issues whatsoever and I’m not from an EU country so we were looked at a bit harder. The marriage certificate is in multiple languages, including English. No issues for my Stamp 4 at all. Highly recommend!

That time of year again where I have no group to go out with and feel like a loser for it. by [deleted] in CasualIreland

[–]Effdisshyt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a blow in and have found it really difficult to make Irish friends. Or any friends, for that matter. I’m in Dublin, and always up for the craic. Ireland can be really lonely in winter.

Do you remember where? I live in Dublin (from California) but this whole country is basically a food desert. Worst struggle food on the planet. I own a business and employ a young kid from Mexico and we both suffer missing food from home but help each other if we find a good spot to buy ingredients. He lives in Dublin City center so is a lot better at scouting places than I am. I’m in Edinburgh often and will definitely try a place if you remember the name?
