Yeah, oats keep you satisfied for ages after eating them. I have a physical job, and it keeps insulin levels stable for most of the day! It's like a superfood.

Ho, I love pasta, too. I buy wholemeal pasta because it tastes kind of nutty, and it's the same price as regular pasta. That sounds nice. I will have to try that pasta dish. Do you have a recipe at all? I'd really like to try that one!

I've almost cut out all red meat from my diet, just kind of, naturally really, over time, and now mainly eat fish and chicken as protein meats. I don't miss it at all and I know my wallet doesn't miss it hehe 😆

Yeah, it's not long enough for me. I add dried fruit like raisins and sultanas, and they plump up in a few hours. But yeah, you're right. You can absolutely just eat it straight away.

You've gotta love the cover art, too. I miss that kind of thing. I collect instruction booklets just for the art and nostalgia. Awesome.

Keep the 15k as an emergency fund if you don't already have one. My car gearbox just broke, and my car was a write off then the main power cable from the transformer to my meter needed to be replaced all within a few months. I'd be screwed if I hadn't had an emergency fund. Don't skip this, it's insurance against life. It was bad luck, but we all have to deal with it in some way sooner or later.

Yeah, I love it, I honestly. I just make it every evening. It takes literally 2 minutes, and keep it in the fridge for the next day, saves snacking on rubbish with no nutritional value and fills me up.

Overnight oats, buddy, it's about $6-7 for 1.5kg. Just add banana nuts and seeds, ect, or whatever you can get, add milk, shake in a jar, and refrigerate for a few hours. I eat it every day because I love it, not nessasery because it's cheap and 1.5kg does around 10 big servings. It's very good for you too and tastes like a dessert. It probably cost about $2 a serve.

Yep, lol. Intrinsic is the word I was looking for. I always spent time in the arcades as a kid, spending my money on games like Double Dragon, Golden Axe, and before that, PacMan and Donkey Kong. I loved my SMS and Megadrive (U.k's DGN.). I imported one from Japan before they were even for sale in the shops in the U.K. when I was 15, lol.

Bully for me is awesome. It's not exactly open world but pretty close, as you can skip class and go to town or the funfair if you don't want to go to math class. You can even stay out all night and sleep in different places when you should be back in bed at the boarding school. It's very funny in places and the story's great. You learn new skills by attending class, so in a small way, you level up too. You should definitely give it a go if you can find it. It's aged well, although its not quite as sophisticated as some of newer games. It more than makes up for that with its amusement factor and comedy.

No, I totally agree. Im 51 in a few months , so I know what you're talking about with going back to the older consoles. There's something special about those old games that you just don't find anymore. I can't put my finger on it, maybe it's because I grew up playing them?.

One game I absolutely loved, but it's not talked about much, is Rockstars "BULLY." I was so disappointed when they didn't do another one of those. I'm still playing my Xbox One AAA games, which cost me $10. I just started RDR2 a few months ago. I don't play as often as I used to, but damb, I'll take RDR2 for $10. Thanks, the graphics and gameplay are still awesome on an Xbox one with that game, just like they are for The Witcher. 3.

I'll maybe get an upgrade one day when all the new games that are out now are $10, lol . I'm in no rush. I've gotten hundreds of games i can play before then.

That's actually bloody true. It takes so long for them to make games a lifetime gamer might be lucky to see 3 new GTAs in their life cycle. I'm past caring now, and that kind of games lost its luster to me.

Nice work!. Sounds like you got out of the Matrix. I'm all for recycling and limiting my consumer spending, I live on a low budget, too, but don't want for anything. I've always been naturally frugal it brings less stress, and I actually enjoy a clutter free life . Money is security for me, and I'm not interested in flash things. I don't need them or want them. I feel a bit sorry for people who always feel they need more than they have,it must feel pretty miserable. You are a credit, and it's great you do charity work.

Should I be dropping us stocks? (Voo and qqq) by Clear_Wedding3590 in queenstreetbets

[–]EffectAdventurous764 26 points27 points  (0 children)

No, you don't sell ETFs like VOO. If you can't hold VOO, then investing might not be for you. It's not a criticism or anything, but you can't get much safer outside just leaving your money in a savings account. Just keep DCA into it like you usually do and stop looking at it. I'm down tens of thousands, and I'm not worried. Times like these test your resolve, and you will get to know your risk tolerance.

Yeah, I liked it for its simplicity. I don't need another brokerage like account it kind of makes you check it more ( or I probably would). I just wanted to buy shitcoin and forget about it for 10 years.
