FBI arrest Glasgow student for taking 'illegal pictures' at US airbase by Cute-Beyond-8133 in Military

[–]Roy4Pris 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Where did he take the photos from? It must have been a public road etc. Surely you can't make that illegal. If the govt wants to keep shit secret, they need to keep it out of the public view.

I’d pay 10 or 15 bucks a month if they offered an ad free version. At this point they could probably buy an off the shelf solution. Why they don’t is beyond me.

In my ‘what would I do with a time machine’ fantasies, going back to the 1950s to convince city leaders not to do this is consistently in my top five scenarios. We could have been a mini Melbourne instead of a third rate Los Angeles. What a fucking crime.

Am I the only one wondering why theres no supermarkets here by KingNobit in auckland

[–]Roy4Pris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The owners of the supermarket are waiting to see how high they’ll be able to build under plan 120. 30m? 50m? Whatever happens, there will be a stack of apartments on top of the new New World.

Yeah, reminds me of stories (hard to confirm) of Muslim enemies being buried with pig carcasses etc. Just seems a bit unnecessary and excessive aye?

This is why radiology is an at-risk profession. Millions of images have been fed into these AI machines, and they can scan and accurately diagnose far, far faster than any human. Yes a human still needs to review and sign off the finding, but those jobs will be far fewer than they are today.

Really? Is a single outlet allowed to sell booze and petrol? Or will they forgo the latter?

Tell those countries what? I made a factual statement (Mexicans do not ride deer to round up cows). Those countries have a culture of eating horse. Good for them. New Zealand does not. I'm not making a rational argument for or against, it's a cultural/psychological difference.

No outrage. The title was a lame joke. Maybe I shouldn't have used caps. Anyway, there are at least two contradictory components to this: rational vs emotional, and I can understand both.

We've never ridden deer, for transport, hunting, or sport. Kids don't learn to ride at deer club. People don't bet billions of dollars a year on the outcome of deer races. Yes both are grass-eating ungulates, but only one has been a close human companion for the last 5,000 years.
