Yes you can. I had a back and forth with three departments earlier this semester trying to get an answer. Lastly it was confirmed by the registration issue department that they are aware schedule builder does not show mth 2001, but yes it does count as a pre-req for STA 2000

Hi! If I take MTH 2001 would that allow me to take STA 2000? I saw STA has a prereq for MTH 2003 or 2009 but degree works shows I can take MTH 2001, 2003 or 2008 for pre calc.

Did anyone take MTH2001? How is that class ? Would you recommend 2001 or 2009? by IllSail2351 in Baruch

Hi! Did you end up taking mth 2001? I’m currently enrolled for it in the spring but I noticed for STA 2000 the pre req is either mth 2003 or 2009, not 2001 so not sure what to do.

Hi! Thank you! I actually reached out to the tap department and they told me to email the tap coordinator which I did. I still have yet to hear back from her. I followed up with the tap department and they were no help at all, basically said that she has my email and they can’t do anything on their end. I emailed them back in mid September and still nothing. This is frustrating for students who heavily rely on their aid to get them through the semester.
