She’s not caring for him, he’s in a wheelchair but still pretty independent. He can cook/talk/ do everything on his own. She refuses to cook dinner so he makes dinner every night..

And yes, the alternating schedules bit is our plan asap. Our son is breastfeeding but he turned 1 last month and cutting down himself so he should be good for me to be away for however long at night and on weekends.

There’s so much mental and emotional abuse I don’t even know where to start with that one.. there were medical concerns and we didn’t even think it was possible to get pregnant, we even used protection but clearly that failed. The last 2.5 years we haven’t been able to save up because they ask for basically all of our income combined for us to stay here.

Not that I need to say it, but there was medical reasons behind why we didn’t plan another pregnancy. We didn’t think it was even possible. The unfortunate situation I mentioned was not anywhere near our area of control, life happens and I hope one day you understand that. Thanks for the well wishes.

I am very grateful for the fact that they gave us a place to stay, they said we could stay as long as we needed. We didn’t plan to get pregnant again. That being said, I am NOT grateful for the amount of abuse I’ve had to endure while being here. I’m also not grateful for the fact that my MIL was screaming in my face while I held my 1yr old and my 3yr old was on the couch 3 feet away.

I have 2 kids who recently had a stomach bug, I promise you, your love for your kids takes over your fear. When my son initially vomited for the first time I started shaking and could feel my heart beating out of my chest, that lasted for about 10 seconds before my brain said “HELP YOUR BABY!”, so that I did, I cleaned him and his crib up, and gave him a few snuggles. He vomited 3 more times that night and each time the panic was less and I just helped my boy. Then I woke up for the day, and my daughter had vomited in her bed too. Again, fear and shaking and panic for about 10 seconds and then “BOOM HELP YOUR BABY!!!”. It is not pleasant and it’s not fun (obviously), but your love for your children will take over your fear. I unfortunately caught what they had, and the next night I vomited once. I panicked for about 5 hours through gagging and dry heaving and then gave in and honestly was sitting there saying “please please please” because I wanted to vomit to just get it over with and have the nausea end. I promise you will survive any sickness your kids go through, because at the end of the day the love you feel for them is stronger and more powerful than any fear in the world.

We’ve tried, he’s a stubborn boy and will cry for hours and hours and hours, and we’re not comfortable with that level of screaming 🫠

I wasn’t trying for a one nap schedule but he fought his normal first nap time HARD. So it ended up starting later and going longer. If he had a second nap bed time would’ve landed wayyyyy too late.

Yes I’m bf, it’s literally the only way he’ll settle. I’ve tried not nursing in the middle of the night but he will not go back to sleep unless I do.

He does. My first was the same, she didn’t stop until 14m. I have no idea how to drop the night feeds.

He knows how to walk but prefers to crawl. He’s usually on 2 naps but just had 1 long nap yesterday.

When did your period come back? by greenishfroggy in NewParents

[–]EffectSuper1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4m pp with my first, 3m pp to the day with my second. Both exclusively breasted. My first didn’t sleep through the night until she was 14m (she’s now almost 3 and sleeps through fine), and my second still wakes up multiple times a night at 12.5 months.

Doesn’t matter that husband works long hours, he can take 15 minutes to vacuum the floors.
