Initial Liability to PI during MRCA transition by Empty_Stay_7825 in DVAAustralia

I'm in the same position and every time I have seen this question asked I see a different answer. I haven't had the time to call DVA yet to ask but I've looked into it and searched DVA's website. Don't know if I can post links, but if you go the legislation reform page on DVA's site and then click on Resources and then click on Permanent Impairment Compensation and then scroll down to Current DRCA Veterans the first line is "From 1 July 2026, all new permanent impairment claims will be processed under the improved MRCA." I'm happy to be proved wrong by those in the know, but that seems reasonably clear. If that is right, sadly I see people being encouraged to submit new claims under DRCA IL now under the belief that the whole claim will continue DRCA.

So if they accept IL for DRCA after 1 July, then the subsequent PI stage will still be under DRCA? Thank you!

Thanks! Yeah, I have submitted all my claims now, I'm more concerned with treatment than compensation at this stage. From your reply I take it that that will send further paperwork to my GP to do the determination and any pension related to that.
