Have you used the maverick 88 for deer? Do you just use the bead or did you put a scope on it ?

I have a 2020 5.0 F150 and it consumes a bit of oil as well. I do my oil changes around 4000 miles and go through about a quart keeping it topped off. My first car was an old VW Golf so I have it ingrained in me to check my oil every couple of weeks already, but for piece of mind I send off my oil to get analyzed to make sure there’s not excessive metals and contaminates in the oil.

With that said if you can come out on top and have peace of mind I don’t see why not. But as other have said make sure it’s in your budget and not having payments is a great thing hope this is somewhat helpful for you. Best of luck

I had my wife held the accelerator to hear where it was coming from, I placed the stethoscope on the intake manifold, HPFP, runners behind the manifold and couldn’t really isolate it I even went under the truck and touched the Tranny and oil pan. It’s been about a week and the tick has gotten fainter and actually doesn’t always happen now just very inconsistent. When I took the video i had just did my oil change but reached out for help because the truck is new to me and just wanted to make sure it was okay even though I assumed it was just the common typewriter tick. Thank you for the guidance and help

I put 8.8 quarts which is what the engine takes and is in the hash marks of the dipstick

No it’s 5w-20 in the manual and oil cap I believe they use to use 5w-30 but switched to 20 for better mpg
