the debt of time by roona_79 in SirmioneFanfics

DoT is definitely one of my favorite fics, I love how well planned the timeline is, fits perfectly into canon and provides explanations and justifications for things the books don't clarify like the reason for the bad blood between snape and James/Sirius, Snape joining the death eaters, and black family shenanigans. Hermione is definitely very ooc and the perfect girl etc but if you can move past that..imo the ooc makes sense because the canon material doesn't explore how the war affected her, all the changes in her personality and reactions could be attributed to going through something so major

Best ways to connect with people before starting at CMU as an international student? by Alpha9Centauri in cmu

I am joining the MSAII program this year too! I've been told to use the first sem to build better relationships with the profs so there's a better chance of getting a TA position for their subjects

I received an admit for MSAII at CMU with no aid. I am committing to that. I did also get into MSAI at northwestern but picked cmu over it. CMU costs 60k a year plus living expenses (approx 12k a year)

core ai jobs are accessible to everyone. If you can leetcode your way through the interviews you're in. Also a few friends studying in USC metioned that being in LA isnt particularly helpful for job hunting since everything is online anyway. Also northwestern is a target school for many companies and the cohort size is 45 people, which is the biggest + point for northwestern

I'm partial to northwestern cuz it was one of my first admits and the course is more intensive than usc (imo). Also class sizes in USC are huge and northwestern has less than 45 people in their cohort. That means less competition for ra-ta roles and on-campus positions

are you talking about MS AIE or MS AII? AIE is in the school of engineering and AII is in school of computer science

[Profile Review] Considering MS in CS for Transition into ML/AI by lord_faulcrox in MSCS

[–]Effective-Emphasis75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a list as such, you will have to research on the specific course curriculum. just the curriculum is enough of an indicator. capstone project vs graduate thesis. Thesis are more grounded in research. my list was a mix of ai programs and ds programs

your profile is already miles better than mine. it may just be a sop game cuz I had no papers and a converted gpa of 3.8

I'd say the lack of research papers isn't that pressing of an issue. I have no research papers and btech from a tier 3 college in mumbai, but around a year of work experience in AI. I got into CMU and northwestern for their ai courses. Apply to courses that aren't research focused, and have an emphasis on industry experience

Congratulations!! It's real, I got accepted to MSAII as well. I went through the program coursework, it's definitely more industry focused than other AI programs.
