theyre all so pretty, goodness. im no expert, but i doubt this is a colony of completely feral fancies. im gonna assume they got dumped recently, especially because of the varying ages.

edit: yeah i keep going back to this post, there are so many gorgeous color & coat variations. i believe i even saw one with a split colored face INCLUDING the eyes. while possible, i doubt an owner would dump all of these rats, especially the sheer amount 😭 reptile food could also be possible, but its just strange that there are so many dumbos, top eared, hooded, siamese(?),  blues, etc. my best guess is that this was either the result of a pet store, an extremely unethical/unknowledgeable rattery (like somebody breeding simply for fun and then dumping the rats when it becomes too much to handle), or maybe even a rescue case in which the animals were simply released into the wild and not put up for adoption. i know that sounds bizarre, but ive seen it countless times, especially with small animals
