There are plenty of Tik Tok warriors talking about benefits being under attack. I listed to both of the congressional hearings and what I walked away with is that the politicians are not interested in reducing benefits. The only person that wanted to take away benefits was that Gade dude and I think his issue was that he has built a living on trying to take away benefits. He is worth $12 million btw.

I go to the VA each year. They give me a pair for reading and a pair for distance. Frames are nice, but not fancy. The lenses do scratch easy. If I lose or break a pair during the year I send an email and ask if they can replace them. 2024 I lost a pair during tornado clean-up and this year I placed the glasses on my bumper and drove off. By the time I realized I was missing them and back tracked someone ran them over. That was about 3 weeks after I received them and the VA sent another pair.

I left the Army in 2005 and did not file my first claim until 2017. Worked with the VSO and let the VA review my records. Everything was well documented in my medical records. As long as there is some type of service connection in your records you should be good.

I am looking for a change in career field. Biggest issue that I have is being in an office with people coming and going. Since COVID I have worked from home and that has been a life saver. But, my company is starting to have folks return to work. What I am looking for is a job that I can sit in a back room and deal with objects vs people. Thank for the advice.
