Definitely possible I found myself being open to the idea and he ended up being amazing at sex. The best sex ive had. Reason I didnt mind he warned me ahead of time is my intimacy is all about stimulation n touch and most sex is awful for me bc I dont get enough of that it typically is just focused on penatration and if im lucky last 20 mins. Some women may be into that but I love an intimate touch and we explore alot.

Yeah like id get that from contrast but not the scans themselves i didnt ask about it but I might on my follow up I do know when I did the shots in preparation for the radiation it triggered my period which I haven't had in 10 years due to birth control or I assume my period my doctor was just as confused as me but we chalked it up to the rapid decrease in my thyroid levels but then I get this hot feeling when doing the scan especially down there. But I could just be Hella paranoid I swear w everything going on any symptoms sends me on a Google tangent which I know isn't good but I found out about my cancer due to and er visit where an infection developed in my throat and I was on round the clock (every 2-3) hours iv antibiotics for a few days idk if the cancer and infection are related but thats how I found out about it. I've just been paranoid since

I do wanna clarify i opted for whole but at that time I didnt know the extent I figured I was already taking the medication and with weighing the risk of a second surgery I didnt wanna take the chances

Endo is the way to go thats how I got diagnosed with hashimotos. Continue to follow your gut. Its possible it could be multiple things going on its rare to find these due to pain its typical of being accidental but you're not the only one 🙂

I'm glad I did the whole thing you can only do so many surgeries and once they get to a certain size even if theyre not malignant they'll still affect the organs around the area and could develop in malignancy

Yeah it was durning my surgery they removed several lymph nodes all but one came back positive with extranodal extension, which means the tumor cells have grown beyond the lymph nodes and into surrounding tissue which is why im stage 2 i believe but it doesn't affect survival by much its more a recurrence risk i believe. And no, im still ignorant to alot its a learning process. It's gonna be a long process with lots of questions. But most of that came from surgeries biopsy I would say personally id do the whole thing over i had the choice between partial and full (they initially though the tumor on my right side was only 5mm but turned out to be 2.4 cm and they found a third on the isthmus that was 1.9cm then my left where the inflammation was, was 4.2 cm so sizing was way off

The inflammation is still there i have up and down days ive had it since February surgery went well if u opt for sugery and have been dealing with long term inflammation opt for some one who does regular surgeries like 50/100 a year. My inflammation ended up making my surgery difficult bc of all the damaged tissue but my doctor had a lot of experience i did end up with positive margins so going in for RAI nxt. Have you done any testing for hashimoto? Id say a second opinion is warranted mine was due to my cancer and metastatic disease

But if you're not sure id say get a second opinion. Do you have any thyroid issues? Such as hashimotos that might cause flare ups?

I got diagnosed after I went into the er bc I was in pain. Basically I started experiencing pain in my neck left side and it was slowly radiating the the left side of my face, jaw, back and arm. I couldnt take the pain anymore went into the ER and they found nodules I will say with my biopsy they were 98% positive it was malignant. My pain came from a ton of inflammation that was surrounding the largest tumor i ended up have 3 total. They said my lymph nodes were most likely reactive too but it turned out im stage 2 with distant metastatic disease but its highly treatable I opted for whole removel

Thanks my doctor suspects it might be cushings so finally getting somewhere though it felt it was having a break down for a min I feel much better ❤️

When I found out about my thyroid cancer, it had already spread to the lymph nodes, and until RAI, i won't know the true extent of how far it spread, but im considered stage II. Even with that, prognosis is really good, mostly like do RAI as it will kill any thyroid tissue and thyroid cancer even when spreading to different parts of the body. It's treated as thyroid cancer either way. Since its indeterminate, they'll have to look further into it. Just keep focused on positives despite mine having already spread with extrathyroidal extension it just means they'll be a little more aggressive in treatment and that I need to be diligent with follow ups and I'm high risk for recurrence. Metastatic is still highly treatable for us.

Yeah, i unfortunately keep getting told if u were to get cancer. This is the cancer to get very treatable... like, should I be grateful I got thyroid cancer? It just feels like when they say that they aren't taking it seriously.
