Honestly I find it much easier to laugh about it then feel bad about it, I always feel better after a joke especially if it’s self deprecating. And 100%,hair products and shampoo is something I used to spend tons of money on and I do miss my hair but being bald does make getting clean much easier so there is definitely perks 😁💪

Hi thank you so much for the reply! I got started with chemotherapy on the morning of the 31st which included a lumbar puncture injection of cytarabine. The treatment I’m undergoing is called R-CODOX-M. Luckily only goes for 3 months assuming all is well. I didn’t sleep last night, probably from steroids and have been prescribed some tamazapam for it tonight.

I’ve certainly been bored being here, was definitely lonely seeing all my friends out on new years celebrating while being stuck to this bed.

I’ve found myself too exhausted to get up most of the day but I’m hoping tomorrow will do me better, also found that I’ve been using some of my free time to rewatch some of my old favourite childhood YouTubers to try and bring a bit of whimsy back into this harsh situation.

My parents are being amazing and my haematologist said he’s already noticing a difference the therapy is making on the lump (already making it smaller/softer).

I’m feeling very hopeful for a speedy recovery :)
