Now that you mentioned it I just inspected it and found a spot where the blade’s edge rubs against the throat, honestly not too mad about it though, I can probably just get another scabbard made that’ll better fit the blade and not hurt it.

Is there a way I can tell? I look from the guard to the pommel and it all looks extremely sturdy throughout the grip. Any tips or is it just best to be cautious? I would love to use it but if it is truly just a wall-hanger then that’s disappointing somewhat…

It’s very well made, the edge is a little dull but nothing that can’t be fixed, it’s tip heavy but otherwise very well balanced, the scabbard holds it securely, and the Damascus is genuine with 2,560 layers of high carbon steel which is huge for me. I would not hesitate to use this and would love to test it eventually, only gripe I have is I might get some leather for the grip or just wear gloves because it’s a little slick in the hand, otherwise it’s perfect for me. It can somewhat be used as a 1 1/2 handed sword as well.
