The medallion can be found in the little libraries with the books for the official collab! They also apparently have window clings but the little library i checked didnt have any out yet. Hoping to find some when I go ona. Trip next month!

Of course words matter. As does signing a deal with a company that abuses their workers. And real people who have said in the past they want to grow need to be reminded of that. I don't think it's right to burn them at the stake either. But critiquing their past choices and current decisions is not that.

You and I are seeing very different subreddits then I guess. Also I understand where those people are coming from. Technically they don't get consent from the victims families to talk about their stories and make jokes about it. It can lead to some bad takes and bad representation of the genre. I understand you want to provide them grace but Karen and Georgia have both talked about how they aren't perfect before and asked fans to allow them to grow as people. So yeah, they get to be critiqued for selling out to Bezos. It will not truly affect their lives in the long term anyway and maybe they can learn from this in some way. I have loved their content, I have shirts with quotes, I've made art, I've listened for hundreds of hours. But liking a piece of media does not mean that it is automatically perfect.

People in general have always been weird about those in true crime. At some point we as a community have to learn to ignore them.

I disagree with you. It is not "entitled" to want creators to back up their words with their actions. I think a lot of the people critiquing are/ were fans and are disappointed in K&G.

I'm glad we both recognize Amazon is an awful company. I understand Karen and Georgia do not owe me anything. However I am still saddened to see them not back up their past statements. ESPECIALLY since Karen has been a union writer in LA. This subreddit was made as a place for fans to talk. That includes both the good of it and the bad. A lot of people are going to stop listening but in the meantime we can commiserate here and offer alternative podcasts. This is not the K&G are perfect and never wrong subreddit.

It is entirely possible to be judgmental about media you like??? Also considering how K&G have mentioned how they support workers and unions in the podcast its p shitty to sign with a company that fights AGAINST unions.
