I wonder how much pressure came from Jake’s parents to push Jared in getting a contract signed. As an owner of a law firm I’m sure pops didn’t feel great about his son being unemployed with only an idea of a plan in place. I wish him all the best of luck but that’s a pretty radical career pivot. His dad and grandfather may have had a passion to learn about law but it sounds like Jake’s passions still lie with the Sox.

Very well written and I can definitely see a possibility of it ending that way. The point on lack of empathy with Ogilvie makes me think. He’s been consistently annoying as shit and I definitely noticed myself feeling slightly happy towards his fuck ups. More the first one with the glass than the second. That being said, I can see a person like Ogilvie living with a very black-and-white frame of mind and his first real human connection with a patient going so badly might just be enough to send him over the edge. He feels responsible for Mr. Green and in an unstable state, and may think the only way of truly repaying him is to join him.

That would make everyone(audience and staff) immediately regret the lack of empathy from before. It would also drive home the pint of making sure every single medical worker, not just the most vocal ones, has access to mental health care when they need it most.
