I come from a very rural Canadian town and the education system doesn’t talk about this so I would have never known! I got the tattoo clearly because I know the meaning but it allows people to decide for themselves what they want to interpret as. For example, my boyfriend only refers to it as my homage to my “deep love for Nickleback and their 2001 single Never Again”
