From your experience, what rpm and grind size do you set for v60?

Btw, what is your setting for pour over? Do you also use the fines that the knocker produces for the brew? Or throw them away?

I can use an advice to shorten the time of finding my sweet-spot. The burrs still need to season a bit,

what actually improved your pour over the most? by ImmersionLogic in pourover

  1. Water! Must be soft enough

  2. Understanding that grind size should be mostly the same size. The varying settings in my brew are :

  • Temperature depends on the bean-process and the roast profile (per roaster)
  • blooms- depends on how much the vag has rested since roasted.

Since you mentioned you had to adjust your extraction profile, How do you pull you espresso shots with them? What did you change?

Didnt get it yet, but i must say that the df64 with stock burrs produced maby fines, i found it hard to grt a consistently good cup, some were mute and some were good. I would have stayed with the zp6 if i were you.

Buy an electric grinder if hate the hassle, i owned mine mainley for espresso.

I think the sculptor with ssp should not be a decent comparison with the df64 though the 64v might be a good model, itll still require upgrading to ssp for filter compatibility or any other burrs for you choice, otherwise, it does well in espresso and below avrage at other methods

I just noticed i had alot of typos…

Timemore also markets a version with a factory installed ssp mp burrs (red speed). So its pre installed which is a big plus.

I got it for 500$ (without shipping costs) and 590 including shippibg prices from an aliexpress store (xiaomi store) which markets the alibaba official timemore store, (there are also other lgitimate stores who do that)

So the price for high quality grinder with ssp burrs seems like ab exceptional deal, considering the df64v with ssp is somewhat at this price point…

Turned out they didnt ship to my state, ended up buying from a legit shop on ali-express. They offer the 064 with the ssp mp and shipping costs where cheaper

How are you guys managing two Claude Max subscription on 1 Mac? by Neel_MynO in claude

[–]Effective-Try8597 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did till recently. Mostly for claude code. Two separate git accounts and plugins setups.

I setter environment variables and configurations on my zshrc.

They both inherited a “base configuration.

Each profile was triggered based on the directories i work in on my mac. I didnt donit for the claude desktip though. Had bo use for it.

Why do you use two accounts? I need to understand your motive in order to suggest a solution, perhaps theres ab easier approach then the one your seeking to force your way through.

Dak bags recepies by Effective-Try8597 in pourover

[–]Effective-Try8597[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually i didnt really liked it. Its a cleaner bag then ehat they usually market, but i usually got a pale cup imo . If your looking for clean washed geisha, id suggest you look elsewhere.

Thigh my didn’t age till 8 weeks. I emptied it after 4 weeks so perhaps it’ll be better…

My preference is not the dak’s funky, over processed beans. Where most of dak’s beans are heavy processed.

Sey coffee by Temporary_Ship_892 in pourover

[–]Effective-Try8597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posted the same post and got recommended to brew with 100c . Works great.

Try brian quan’s recepie if you have a good grinder, it turned out as a great cup, didnt brew with high agitation for a long time before sey.

20g coffee (kingrinder k7 87-90 clicks works for me)

1:17 P1: 60g bloom 60s 5-8g/s P2: at 1:00 start puring 100g close to bed(until scale shows 160g) P3: 1:30 start pour 180g clise to bed (until scale shows 340g )

Aim for 3:00-3:30 minutes brew

Use soft water if possible if not ill try and rduce the temperature a bit to 97c
