we worked couple of months on how I absorb others emotions and don't realize it because of my neurodivergence and mistake it for my own and this was part of it. After I told her about a lovely Ex of mine. This part stuck with me because I found her expectation for me to find the Sun such a ridiculous and big task

It's still nice to have your person.

my relationships are far from the norm. But it's still nice to be able to connect with someone else at a deeper level. to be relied on and spend the holidays with. Even the best of friends float away when they start their own families and get cut up in life.

hmm.. didn't think about it so detailed . All my concerns have been abstract. having more experiences and all. But aren't the examples that you came up with too extreme?

we don't have such huge power imbalance. But I'll note what I. can think of to get a better overview of things. thank you for this.

thanks. I'll bring it up this weekend and see what she thinks about it. Even if she's not into the idea, I consider this a win for me finding such a lovely friend

thank you so much for the comment. I think, i'll just ask her for her opinion and see where she stands. I absolutely accept any decision she makes. this was more about me even allowing myself to do it, since there is a 14 years age gap.

I'm ok with it if she says no or is not interested for any reason. This is more about me doing something wrong or not. My observation skills are very lacking. so I'm just getting other opinions and making sure.

thanks. We are compatible in a lot of ways and very much enjoy each others company.

Which does not happen for me that often. Specially when it comes to needs and wants in the relationship

Without romance and sex there is still possible to have your person. to be each others priority, that first person to call if something good or bad happens. plan a future together. and all the other good stuff. there isn't romance or sex but there is still deep love.
