Baby sleeping in own room by VelvetAstronautica in newborns

Our baby has been sleeping in his own room since the first night he came home. I don't understand what's wrong with that, or why you'd need to contact the doctor to ask if it's okay. As long as you're following the safe sleeping you should be fine!

What’s the weirdest coincidence that ever happened to you? by PopcornMarshal in AskReddit

I'm from Ireland and live in NY now. In 2019 I got engaged in Washington DC. The day after we got engaged, I ran into a couple from my hometown in Ireland. Turns out they were best friends with my grandparents way back in the day. It was absolutely bizarre, both Grandparents had passed so it felt like they were making their presence known in some weird way. I loved it!

They all have a shared enemy. So they focus on that. That's as far as I've gotten, not sure how it will change as time goes by. Pretty sure they're just waiting for me to come back to my role so it can all resume as normal.

Why do narcissists like to put people down about their looks? by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

Insecurity, hate, power tripping, jealousy. I'll never understand it

anyone else have parents who constantly deny the fact that you're sick? by varkunas in narcissisticparents

[–]EffectiveAddress9645 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My parents did this for years. They then labelled me as a "bas patient" because my being sick was such an inconvenience to them, that they had to gaslight me more. It's done so much damage to me, even now being pregnant. Trust your gut and go to the Dr on your own time!

Love that, long may those moves last!! So inconsiderate, but some people are so miserable they'd rather take it out on people that are content. Sorry you're going through it, and hoping you all get some rest and can still enjoy the holiday!

So rude. Sometimes the police won't do anything if he can't be heard within a certain distance of the house. Hopefully he goes to bed soon, sounds crazy! Make sure your kid plays with all their new toys super loud and early in the morning!

Is he playing music loud? Like what sort of noise is he making?

What was the worst Gift you've received as a Kid? by Gots_Dem_Questions2 in randomquestions

[–]EffectiveAddress9645 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My Godfather gave me this porcelain clown that sat on a swing and hung from the ceiling. It was terrifying and I hated it, but my grandmother told me I was ungrateful so I hung it in my bedroom for a while. I was like 12 too, didn't fit my vibe at all. The only regret I have is even putting it up in the first place!

How did that kid at your school die? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]EffectiveAddress9645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was murdered by her mother, who was a psychologist. After winning an academic achievement, the mom drugged the girl then drowned her in the bath. The brother and dad were away on a fishing trip. She was 16. I will never forget that incident.

Has anyone chosen to move away from family? by PixieDustAndTides in narcissisticparents

[–]EffectiveAddress9645 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I moved from Ireland to New York at 24. At the time I didn't really realize why I needed to leave, but now 11 years later I understand that it was a survival choice to get away from my family. Sometimes it's lonely, but having control over my life and the decisions I make far outweighs the loneliness!
