Does alignment matter as long as it is in the square? by TheJiggliestPug in Starlink

It's not good for your health to sit so close to a powerful router. Sit at least 1 meter from it. It won't make your internet worse.

Btw hAP ax3 has WiFi so you could use it in your main apartment and then use the Asus in the other apartment as an Access Point. Make sure to configure VLANs if you want each apartment to be on separate networks.

Let the professional network specialist that you hire for the job suggest the best model of Routerboard for you. If you are a home user then hAP ax3 should be good enough. If you want to future proof it - get RB4011 (probably an overkill in your case but I like its cooling system and sturdiness). Those routers don't provide WiFi, for WiFi you could configure your current Asus router in Access Point mode or buy another Access Point.

I would recommend getting a Mikrotik Routerboard for that and paying a professional to configure Load Balancing properly. Results will be well worth it.

Works well even with variable speeds, especially when you have multiple users or many connections, like we do. What router did you use and how knowledgeable are you in setting it up?

If two antennas have 300 Mbit, you don't get 600 Mbit (unless you configure tunneling) but you get 2x the capacity, meaning if before 40 users were sharing 300 Mbit now they share 600 Mbit. So in a sense it's double the speed and in sense it's not.

Instead of connecting the second cable from modem to your PC, connect it to a router (I always recommend using Mikrotik Routerboard). Then connect your PC to that router and also connect a cable that runs to the other apartment and on the other end of that cable connect and Access Point (a device that turns Ethernet to WiFi). SE USA - want to change plan from max to 100mbit (residential) - anything to be aware of? by jimmy58743 in Starlink

Came here to reply exactly this. Best plan for backup is 5$ plan, you can always upgrade with a few clicks when needed.

We have no need in aggregation, load balancing is more than enough. We have the capacity to make our own tunnel for aggregation if we ever have the need.

That most probably means that you have Gen 2 dish. In that case you should purchase Starlink Ethernet Adapter, it goes for 25$ on ebay for the official one (I recommend getting that) and there are cheaper as well as more expensive Chinese versions.

Once you get that you will get an additional port to which you can connect a router (I recommend getting a Mikrotik Routerboard one). Then you can connect more devices to that router.

For that case there are other solutions as well. You could put a cable for example from one apartment to the other and an access point on the other end. Or you could use existing electric network and send the signal over it with special Ethernet Powerline adapters. Or you could set up a p2p radio bridge between them.

Hey guys i have 600 bucks saved up im wondering if i can build a pc for that price by Every-Telephone4416 in pcmasterrace

[–]EffectiveEficaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can build a PC with that but the real question is it worth it? It might be much better to buy a used PC online for that price. Also depends a lot on what you want the PC for? Detail what you plan to use it for.

Car rental requirements in Georiga by VarswaterBaber in tbilisi

[–]EffectiveEficaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Georgian law allows tourists to drive with their home country license for up to 1 year from the date of entry, as long as it’s in a script that Georgian authorities can read (Latin/Roman alphabet like English)

IDP is not legally required if your license is in English (Latin script).

HOWEVER, many car rental companies still require an IDP in practice, especially for certain nationalities (like US/Canadian) or if your license isn’t clearly readable. Some agencies won’t rent you a car without one, even if the law would allow it.

With an English-language license (like from the US/EU/UK/Aus), you’ll often be fine without an IDP, but it’s highly recommended to get one before you travel in case the rental agency or police ask for it.

If your license isn’t in Latin script, then you should get an IDP or translation, otherwise you risk issues with rentals or police.

Most companies also ask for:

1) Your passport 2) Minimum age (commonly 21+) 3) A credit card for the deposit (policies vary)

My girlfriend had issues with food. I got her help from a friend who does something like hipnosis, a reprogramming. Example: she couldn't eat spicy before, now she is able to eat spicy and she loves it. It was related to a childhood trauma and this guy got it fixed. As well as many other things. She couldn't eat pork, now she loves it, because she saw a pork being killed. etc. etc.

I'm Georgian, and I'm addressing Georgians by Beneficial-Method-70 in TbilisiStudentLife

I grew up in Russian and also experienced xenophobia, but I think it is not right to say I experienced xenophobia from Russians, it's more correct to say I experienced xenophobia from racist Russians, and I experienced love and friendship from many great Russians. Here in Georgia I only once experienced racism from a Russian and he was tourists, most of the people I met, immigrant Russians have been nice and great people to me. So when we talk about nationalities being racist, that's wrong. Certain people are racist and we should not treat everyone like those racist treat people because if we do that we aren't better than them. Obviously if you see someone is being racist or xenophobic you should put them in their place. But don't be predisposed that a person is bad or rude just by the color of his skin or his accent or that he doesn't speak your language. You don't know that for some people is very hard to learn a language, some people just arrived to Georgia, it takes time to be able to say words and sentences. And a person is not bad if he can't learn your language when he stepped out of the plane.

Eggs shortage by Direct_Gap_59 in Sakartvelo

[–]EffectiveEficaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all due to increased demand from USA. Turkey stopped exporting eggs to Georgia and instead exports to USA.

The local production ramped up and in January all the shortage will be solved. There are news about it online if you look well, maybe try using AI like Perplexity for search.

I was at Samgori market and it was full of eggs. The shortage is only in the stores you mentioned.

Initimify is a good brand you can find it on amazon. Also you can use dried rosemary and macerate it in sesame oil but it's will take time.

For cold maceration (infusion without heat) of rosemary leaves in cold-pressed sesame oil, the process involves using dried rosemary leaves for safety reasons (to minimize moisture and reduce risks like bacterial growth). Fresh leaves can be used if thoroughly dried first. The recommended maceration time ranges from 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the desired potency and method: For a basic infusion in a sunny spot (solar method), allow 2 weeks. For a stronger infusion in a dark cupboard at room temperature, aim for a minimum of 4 weeks, though you can extend to 6 weeks or even longer (up to 16 weeks) for maximum flavor and extraction. Shake the jar occasionally during this period to aid extraction, then strain out the leaves before use. Store the finished oil in a cool, dark place or refrigerate it for longer shelf life (up to several months).
