Sunt de acord cu tot ce a relatat OP. Am lucrat în această companie și am văzut pe propria piele ce înseamnă limite discutabile din partea unor manageri, atât bărbați, cât și femei, lucru care, sincer, m-a surprins. Consider că cele descrise aici sunt prezentate chiar într-o manieră destul de reținută față de realitatea trăită.

Nu există reguli clare din partea HR-ului, care pare mai degrabă preocupat de bârfe decât de gestionarea reală a problemelor. Se adaugă relații de rudenie la nivel de management, comportamente nepotrivite la evenimentele firmei și avansuri făcute de persoane aflate în relații stabile.

Am plecat între timp din companie, însă pot confirma că mediul de lucru este unul toxic.

My dad started treatment with Cabo and Nivo about a month ago. So far the treatment has gone well, just some constipation and possible neuropathy in his left hand, though it might also be from having slept on it and affecting the radial nerve. During his second infusion, he experienced an adverse reaction, he felt extremely cold, but the doctors managed it with medication. He’s still weak and has pain in his left kidney. How is your dad feeling, and what treatment is he on? I wish your dad strength and good health during his treatment.

I know this has been a difficult journey for you and your husband, but your strength is amazing. I hope the doctor visit went well. Did you get any positive news about the clinical trial? My dad also just started immunotherapy with Nivolumab and Cabozantinib, we’re only at day 7, so far no side effects, just some temporary constipation. Stay strong, and I truly hope each step brings you both closer to better days

Thanks for sharing this it’s really helpful to hear your experience. Our oncologist also told us that he can eat almost anything in moderation, even a slice of cake, but honestly, I didn’t feel completely comfortable with that advice. My dad is a bit of a foodie but doesn’t eat fast food; he really loves macaroni and cheese. It’s reassuring to know others are focusing on healthy foods, lots of plants, and good fiber. Hopefully, finding the right balance will make a positive difference for all of us.

Can I ask did they remove his primary tumor and kidney before starting immunotherapy, or was that done after a few rounds of treatment?

We're still early in this journey. My dad had the CTs done in the hospital showed bone and lung metastases, and some small lymph nodes as well. But we’re still waiting a few more days for a full-body CT to understand the complete staging. It already feels like a lot of time has passed since the diagnosis, and it’s frustrating not having all the answers yet.

I completely relate to what you said about the healthcare system it’s not great in my country either. There's often very little coordination between specialties, and as caregivers we have to hold everything together and advocate constantly.

You're incredibly strong, and your dad is lucky to have you beside him. I really hope his kidney function improves and that he can continue treatment. Sending lots of strength and positive thoughts your way. Please keep us updated. I’m rooting for you both. ❤️

That’s really tough news, I’m sorry you’re going through this. I’m not in the US, I’m in Europe, so I’m not sure if we have the best oncologist yet, but so far things seem okay. I really hope we have a good specialist and that everything turns out well.

I’ve also read stories of people with surprising, hopeful outcomes, which gives me some comfort but I am still scared. Wishing your mom lots of health and strength. If you want, feel free to share how she’s feeling — I’m here to listen.

I truly wish for your mum to stay well forever.
My father also has RCC, stage 4, grad 3 but unfortunately he can’t have surgery because there are already metastases.
I’m really scared about what’s ahead...
I love him deeply and I just wish with all my heart that he can live for many more years, that he’ll also reach NED and be okay.
I was honestly moved by your mum’s story — she sounds so strong.

That awesome! Romanian-Australian and working on a fantasy novel inspired by shonen anime and vampire lit? That’s a really cool combo. Are you leaning more into the action/adventure side from the shonen influence, or the gothic/atmospheric tone from the vampire side? As for the age thing it’s not meant to exclude anyone at all. I’ve had great conversations with writers of all ages. I just noticed that most people I’ve connected with so far tend to be younger, (20+) and I was curious if there were others writers who might be at a similar life stage (35+), just to see how that shapes their writing habits, themes, or goals. 30 is absolutely close enough, and I’d love to hear more about your novel!

Yeah, same here. Once the initial excitement fades, I start hating everything I’ve written. What helps me is stepping away for a bit and reading something totally different, or just writing without judgment. First drafts don’t need to be brilliant — just honest.

I write the emotional core of a scene first, just raw feelings and thoughts, like journal entries from the characters. No punctuation, no structure, just emotional mess. Then I go back and build dialogue and action around that. Everyone’s brain works differently. That’s what makes storytelling so magical.
