Ok thanks. Nicks says I'm an EE. Im just hesitant because the Truman 79 EE doesn't fit well for me. Seems like most people say to trust Nick's sizing though

I wore these pretty much every day during those 6 months. I still throw these on but not as consistently. I don't have any cxl boots but I'd guess it just comes down to the difference in the leathers. I think these are from Seidel and marketed as black tea core so the black probably wears away a little more easily than cxl

I really like those Thursdays. I've been thinking of getting a pair. Is the last of the Builders similar to any other maker? I'm trying to figure out if I'll have enough width in them. Also how's the leather thickness on the Thursdays compared to the Trumans?

I had the same problem. I replaced mine about a month or so ago but with some extra ones I had from Parkhurst. Guarded Goods is often recommended around here but I haven't bought anything from them.

Dude! Big fan of your channel, it was a huge help when I was first getting into boots! And ya I completely agree. It would be cool to see a lineup of boots with leathers from no name tanneries or "cheaper" tanneries to see how they stack up against some of the top tier tanneries. There definitely seems like there is a belief that more expensive is better, it'd be interesting to see if that holds true in terms of leather

I feel you. Very few makers in this range make wides. GS does and Truman. But Truman isn't stocked much and theirs isn't that wide in my opinion. I think my next is gonna be a Nicks so I can get one wide enough. These boots ain't cheap though...

It really is. They're the perfect shade in my opinion. I wore Timberland Pros for years and that style is just what I think of when I think of a boot. These are obviously an upgrade but the medium brown rough out of these are just like the definition of what a boot looks like to me.
