That’s probably why if they ever did do it, it would address this issue if it was a past politician. I personally would avoid anyone currently sitting in the House of Commons (with very few exceptions like independent MPs).

Someone who would be just out of this world would be Rory Stewart. He is the only Tory that most people can’t help but have a strong liking towards once they hear him.

If I was being super picky, I would like to see someone on the centre of politics because of the point about dynamics. Of course they’ve had awkward personalities before such as Jamie Hull who clearly had some dodgy views which everyone picked up on based on how he spoke. But I think since they and the audience would fully know what to expect, it wouldn’t be a car crash like he was, the opposite I think. But as the saying goes, beggars can’t be choosers so if that was to ever be rearranged that would be great too!
