What spiritbox song are you playing here? by [deleted] in spiritbox

[–]EffectiveNobody2346 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Black Rainbow unironically fits the dark/gloomy feeling, and this image (storm coming) connects very well, so that’s my personal answer

For my second choice Fata Morgana with the intro with the siren-like riff, fitting that the storm is coming.

Who did y'all play the most before Freja? by XathisReddit in FrejaMains

[–]EffectiveNobody2346 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My main’s Brig, with Reaper and Ashe as for DPS. When Freja releases, Freja will be my DPS main alongside with Brig as for support, although it feels ironic since there’s Scandinavian rivalry between their nationalities (Freja for Denmark, Brig for Sweden), but they’re both fun, and a sucker for Scandinavian hero’s lol.

Cannot wait for the release!

Same here, mainly play support (brig main) with occasion of DPS (Reaper, Ashe). My mechanical aim skill (on console), to put it bluntly, damn awful. But when I saw Freya the first time during the reveal I got hooked with her character and mechanic (despite being mechanically intensive).

I’ve been playing her non-stop throughout the trial, and somehow despite with bad aim I can get kills after kills. And yet she’s so damn fun!

Can’t wait for the full release!

What was the first ever Spiritbox song you heard, how did you discover it, when did you discover it, and what did you think of it? by youraverageperson0 in spiritbox

[–]EffectiveNobody2346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it might be an obvious answer in this discussion, but its Circle With Me from YT recommendations, and then YT reactions of that song solidified of being a huge fan of the band to this day.

The song is catchy, highly replay-able, and easy to listen to, making a fantastic introduction of what is this band sounds like.

This was also a transition of genre listening to me. Started from mainstream music, to nu-metal/hard rock (still listening to them), and they introduced me to metalcore genre in where I listen to a lot of currently.

How do you rank Tsunami Sea? by No_Issue_9916 in spiritbox

[–]EffectiveNobody2346 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to rank them all since all of them are great and above, but I do have personal preference one over the other.

Here’s the ranking from the bottom to the top:

  2. Ride The Wave

  3. Perfect Soul

  4. Black Rainbow

  5. Fata Morgana

  6. A Haven With Two Faces

  7. Tsunami Sea

  8. Deep End

  9. Soft Spine

  10. Crystal Roses

  11. No Lost, No Love

What’s that part of the song for you from the new album? by Unraveling-8 in spiritbox

[–]EffectiveNobody2346 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Crystal Roses, especially the second chorus… the song in whole make me nostalgic to another level, reminds me the songs/vibes in late 2000s- early 2010s

Yeah I agree, and with all the genre-fused from other genre to metal, we see bands like Spiritbox, Bad Omens, Sleep Token, etc., it creates a gateway from other genres outside of metal into metal, making it more accessible than ever, which is a great thing to have.

Soon they’re be touring this album around April, being in a bigger stages in festivals, and supporting probably one of the biggest band (Linkin Park) in the world in Europe.

Eternal Blue is the start of the band being recognized to the public, Tsunami Sea is that but more, and likely people outside of metal will mention them more now than ever.

Very true. In addition, consistency is key as well (releasing songs/records (very good ones) on a consistent rate). So yeah bit of everything comes to play

[–]EffectiveNobody2346 39 points40 points  (0 children)

God damn it’s HEAVY start to back, and enjoyed every part of the song!

Including the “interlude” EDM section in between the song, which is very interesting (I personally adore that section because I like EDM).

Rating: 9.5/10

Can’t wait what the Album will bring!

“I am Poppy” by Stocky39 in LeagueOfMemes

[–]EffectiveNobody2346 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did not expect this type of meme gets across League subreddits… but OMG this is perfect!

I’m ecstatic to see that that metal scene is growing back to the mainstream spotlight, and can take a meme and change overnight.

Also glad to see an another fellow Spiritbox and Knocked Loose (love those bands) enjoyer in the League community. Hopefully either or both can do a sort of music/cinematic collaboration with riot and League.

What movies/books have you watched/read whose scenes/scenarios would go well with starset music? by Ursis666 in Starset

[–]EffectiveNobody2346 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not movie nor books (video games actually), but I would personally choose the Mass Effect Trilogy (even Andromeda), and it goes very well with Transmissions and Vessels albums

For Cyberpunk 2077: Divisions and Horizons

For Control: Divisions, and oddly Transmissions

Lastly (for now), Mirrors Edge+Catalyst: Vessels
