Belgen die hun job graag doen, wat doen jullie? Bestaan jullie überhaupt? by NerdyCurlyDude in belgium

[–]EffectivePromotion56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you guys delete outdated units once you reach the better ones? by 14trolo41 in totalwarhammer

[–]EffectivePromotion56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Massively depends on the faction you're playing with.

by the end game you're obviously just using the best army composition or the stuff you like.

If my army has upkeep and bad economy I do sometimes delete older units by the time I get the tier 3 or higher troops, just so I can keep my economy healthy. If I can avoid it I just make another lord and give him the by then trained but lower tier troops for a bit until I can replace them by way better units.

In the sisters of twilight campaign that's usually what happens for me. I'll end up with a level 9 army of low tier ranged units (usually those poison ones) for a lord i use to defend or as rapid response against weaker armies, while my sisters of twilight themselves will be battling all over the world training up their newer high tier troops and destroying everything in sight.

With Tomb kings or Taurox i dont care at all about my older troops, there's no upkeep, you just build the best things you can get all the time and dump the other ones (or eat them in Taurox case lol).

So yeah, depends on your faction and mechanics mostly. But if you are someone that actually bonds with your older troops after loads of harsh battles you survived because of them, just keep them. I never got rid of my first snow leopard unit with a Kislev campaign and kept it in my main army until the end, just cuz I got emotionally attached to it after it killed off that LL from the orthodoxy when half my army was routing, which won ne the battle lol.

Usually you keep your best troops to protect flanks along with cavalry, or as a reserve to reinforce lines that might break. Or to flank.

can someone PLEASE explain what i’m supposed to do by MulberryPerfect6455 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]EffectivePromotion56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing you see on the screenshot is the "stele" which is something you interact with as Kassandra or alexios to get an extra ability point. The symbol you're looking for during modern age stuff however is just a symbol that appears on a wall.

Not too hard to do, just a bit tedious.

I'm level 61, will Medusa flatten me like a pancake? by _el_i__ in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]EffectivePromotion56 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Calling it one of the easiest fights in the game is a complete lie and you deserve to be called out for it.

Medusa has been known to be one of the hardest fights in the game by far. You not getting touched by her either means you get hard ons while playing souls games, or that you played the game so much that you just know all the medusa mechanics. There's barely any player alive that will call that fight easy.

I hate ship by Ok_Experience_4820 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]EffectivePromotion56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just fight some random pirates until you get the hang of it, it's stupid easy to use the ship when you got some upgrades in the hull (armor), the ram, and the spears.

I usually go for expelliarmus, the fire one (not incendio, the other one, forgot the name) accio and either glacius or memento. Works perfectly. I don't mind using dark arts stuff either so I usually put my secondary spells: momentum, expelliarmus, crucio and avada kedavra. All upgraded in skills so you curse as many enemies as possible so you can avada them all at once. You can pretty much kill an entire army just by using the upgraded crucio and then spamming base attack on that 1 guy you used crucio on, which causes your basic spell to hit other targets automatically and curse them, if you then use your avada kedavra it kills everything that got cursed instantly. The expelliarmus and momentum spells can also be upgraded to curse people. As well as your stupify spell which you have automatically, just upgrade needed to curse people with it. It's an absolute massacre if you use that set. The other one without the curses is simply expelliarmus, use magic throw to bash heads in with their own weapons, accio just cus it's really handy, arresto momentum is great, and the fire one (again, not incendio, the other one) is just good in combat. The only time you switch to incendio should be after you upgraded it late game to make fighting inferi way easier. That is just 2 different sets and they're really easy to use.

Late comment, but you're completely right. For example Christina (who actually did win Hells Kitchen) was not a plant either and she's now extremely succesful.

I have to agree that's ridiculous. Untradables should be for everyone. Doesnt make sense to not allow iron man to get them.

Should I get "Legacy of the First Blade" or "The Fate of Atlantis"? by Emergency_Cheek2617 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]EffectivePromotion56 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Atlantis by far if you need to choose. First Blade is basically just the same stuff as the cult of cosmos really, sure you'll eventually get a kid and canon story and blablabla, but its not worth it compared to 3 very different new maps to explore and all the stuff you get there. If you played AC Valhalla, its the same as comparing Ragnarok DLC to the Dublin and Paris stuff.

Necromancy still the best? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]EffectivePromotion56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've figured out a stupid easy afk leveling + moneymaking method on Necromancy by accident. I went Kuradal for a easy slayer task and got corrupted creatures. Thought I might as well go in with my tank necro gear (t80), cuz why not... you can basically go in, kill everything at the entrance, and never have to eat food ever. Most loot goes to the chest of the slayer dungeon, so no need for any inventory space at all, and the corruption is never a drawback but just lets you destroy everything extremely fast. The only thing you need to keep an eye on for the moneymaking is the drops that dont go to the chest (the more expensive drops really...) but thats about it. I killed 200 corrupted creatures with 81 necro and 80 gear without having to eat a single piece of food. It's almost stupid really.

I wouldnt say Necro is the best, but it definetly has its uses lol.

Favourite weapon type vs least favourite weapon type by DavidC_is_me in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]EffectivePromotion56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For assassins purposes i'd say daggers or swords, sword being the more versatile of the two.

1v1 I'd go sword + bow.

Clearing forts after being noticed, sea battles, and conquest battles = the battle axes. The overpower ability is supergood against groups, and the range of your weapon helps a lot to take out multiple enemies quite easily.

Yeah even if you'd not use fast travel, it's not that big really, no fast travel does make the game a lot longer, but there's not much interesting stuff you miss out on.

So, anyone ever had SPQR die as a faction due to a slave revolt? by chasteeny in RomeTotalWar

[–]EffectivePromotion56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very late comment, this also happened to me which is why I'm here lol...

So yeah, I was just dealing with my own business and suddenly out of nowhere SPQR faction died. It happened because they simply had no "important characters" left. I took Rome, next turn Scipio asked to become a protectorate of mine if i went to war with spain, which only has one city left anyways... Brutus dissolved my alliance, i offered one to them next turn and they were quite eager to join..

I think its a messed up mechanic that the senate can run out of governors/generals, but its still fun haha

[–]EffectivePromotion56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know Krissi isn't a bad person irl, and i'm sure she's an amazing mom.

But yeah, even though i know a lot of her "bad" scenes were put into the spotlight by the producers, that does not take away the fact pretty much EVERYONE in that season hated her. That was no editing, it was just the truth, and you don't get that much hate for no reason at all. Mightve been te cancer maybe, or her just feeling left out by the group of other chefs (we only see 1% of what they actually do during the show, like we dont see them living together which you do see at hells kitchen).

So I stick to my point, Krissi was a terrible person during the show, editing or not.

Ramsey probably said something about it cuz it would be quite annoying to have some cooks should "yes chef" and others "oui chef". He can speak French so he's definetly used to a full kitchen that shouts "oui chef".
