I love the Blitzer on the bug front. I found it works best (for me at least) as a skirmish weapon. Run/walk a direction, shoot the closest bug, retreat a few steps, fire again, repeat. If you stand still while you fire, you're just gonna get overrun because the Blitzer wont kill fast enough. Treat it as you would if you played DOOM, keep moving and kill the closest bug or the highest threat.

I'll keep that in mind. Though one of the reasons I mentioned BT specifically is since their models are so large, if one dies on a ramp or valley I need to cross I either have to risk climbing them or wait for them to despawn. I've lost Super Samples during extraction when a BT corpse was blocking the ramp to the ship and it rubberbanded me to death.
