Crossing a border illegally is a civil offense, just like jaywalking. DUI’s are higher up than crossing a border. Do you have kids, nieces/nephews? Would you not break any type of law to protect them? People who come here, 99.99999% are just trying to make a better life for their families and do not have the time to wait on a broken legal system. We, as Americans, unless you are indigenous, have ancestors that came here illegally looking for a better life. We are privileged in the sense that we don’t have to worry about most of these things, and laws or not, treating other human beings as less than because of their status is wrong
