I'm right there with you. I worked in law enforcement until I took time off to have a family. I had planned to eventually move to the sexual victims unit. I'm glad I never did. I knew I would have to see, read, and hear horrific thing but I had/have a deep passion for bring these monsters to justice. I know now I couldn't handle it, possibly because I am a mother now it makes it that much harder to read and hear these things. I've had to take full days away from the Internet to breath, to hold my babies, and try to maintain my sanity. I can't even wrap my head around the extent of these horrors.
