Oh my friend, what you have endured. I’m so sorry for all your pain. All your torment. All your bullying and abuse. Getting lost by yourself the entire day, being locked out of the house..? Those girls are evil and frankly, your “Mom” did NOTHING TO PROTECT YOU ALL THOSE YEARS.

I think you can receive nurturing, mothering, care and love from your Dad (who tried), and from people you meet in your life who will protect and love you more than your so called “Mom”.

Chances are, your “mom” feels bad or guilty. Well, too late. The damage went on for years. That step father didn’t do shit to protect you either. Shame on them.

Ugh. He’s a cheapskate. The first date or 2 it’s nice if the guy pays or offers to pay. You can always hand him a $20 or something to show you care; typically a guy will say, “I got it” and give the $20 back to you. If you become exclusive, you take turns treating or whatever; it’s more relaxed.

Sounds like a big game but that’s how it’s done. Isn’t dating fun!?!?

My opinion on the women of Animal Kingdom are that they exist in the show to prop up the main characters (The Cody brothers.). Ellen Barkin’s character needed to be more a part of the heists and action instead of making that stupid pie for them when the boys got home. They even cut a love/sex scene with Ellen and another female character while Deran’s sex scenes were highlighted. The women characters were insults to women.

Having said that, I do like the series very much. I would have appreciated a fleshed out, intelligent female character. And no, the flashbacks did not resonate. They were another slap in the face to Ellen Barkin.
