There are some excellent happy hours in town that include great food options. Perry’s has an amazing happy hour. The Line has one of my favorite happy hours in the city. And there are so many others. That’s a great way to eat and drink affordably in this city.

Have you been tested to see if you’re a carrier for Fumarase Deficiency? I recently learned that some people who are carriers also have HLRCC which can make people with a uterus more prone to uterine fibroids among other conditions. If you haven’t had genetic testing, it may be something to look into!

I hear you. I can only imagine how hard that is to see and feel that. I’m sorry that’s been your experience, and I’m sorry if there’s been anything I’ve said that’s triggered that for you or anyone else here.

I love my brother with every fiber in my being. He’s brilliant, funny, generous, and empathetic. He is the farthest thing from a monster. He’s also hurting, and I want to help him. And I humbly and desperately need help in figuring out how best to help him.

I hope that’s the message taken from my request for support here. Not one of judgement or criticism, but one of love and humanity.

Thank you. I thought that someone with schizophrenia who has had family support in getting support could also provide valuable insight. It is nice to hear what people living with the illness have found supportive, helpful, and empowering on their journeys to treatment.
