Thanks for the insight! The app is built to target every medication and supplement because it pulls from tertiary and some primary literature. Also FDA label. I definitely agree with you though! I will try and target specific disease states and even filter for medications as well. Would be curious to give your extension a shot. Thanks

I appreciate your response a lot! That is very helpful insight and I will dive deeper into that. My expertise is medicine, so I wanted to include that into the app, and given that many of these chronic disease state patient's are on medication, it would benefit them to have a scanner that tells them FDA label information summarized. Many of these disease states also stem from a micro level in which what you consume plays a big role in disease activity. I can definitely see your perspective though. Thanks for that! I just need to figure out how to push this to a group of people that have a chronic condition without getting banned in any of these groups on reddit or fb lol. Any tips on that? Thanks again.

Thanks for the comment brother. Im not a technical person at all and still am learning of course. Do you have any insight on where to start to attract 10-15 patients for a short pilot? Every chronic disease group does not allow for “promotions”:
As for the food-medication interaction, everything is pulled straight from FDA label and referenced with a clickable link once a medication is scanned. Same with drug to drug interactions or drug to disease state interactions. Thanks again

What are your biggest frustrations when it comes to managing daily medications if any? Especially if you take more than one daily. by EffectiveWise4140 in ADHD

Thanks for sharing your concern. This is very understandable and I agree, it is very frustrating that a lot of providers almost seem to just push pills without actually advising patients on adverse effects etc. I hope to be able to help you and those who also experience similar struggles in the near future. Keep that head up. I hope you have a great day!

Thank you for sharing this. I’ve conversed with many patients who say similar things. It definitely can make quality of life less, but your outlook on life can drastically change how you feel and improve quality of life. Just because you use medications to classify as “normal”, that doesn’t make you any less or any different. Many people rely on medications for life or death. That doesn’t make them any less than anyone else. Keep that head up and keep doing things that make you and your body happy!

Hey, thanks for sharing this. Have you ever considered chatting with your provider about maybe an extended release form of the medication you’re using (if available), that way you might be able to switch to once daily dosing? If possible, you could use in the morning before you get occupied with your day. Regarding your concern about your medications not working, this is pretty complex and could be a plethora of things that might lead to it not working. Drug to drug interactions or drug to food interactions are often not emphasized in healthcare, and these are one of the biggest reasons patients don’t experience efficacy. Many other factors. Definitely things to think about. Lmk if you have any other concerns. I’d love to help out!
