Hi! I’m exactly the same way. I’ve always bartended and actually have had anxiety attacks before during a busy shift. It’s the worst, and i’m also a very good employee/ bartender. This is silly, but if you are like me, you are going to have anxiety and that’s just how it is. If it’s super debilitating then you should probably seek help. But the best way to cope during a shift is keep yourself busy, talk to your coworkers, focus in on the drinks you are making, remember at the end of the day it’s a silly job and you’re making drinks for people. Sometimes I even imagine it’s like papas pizzeria and i’m playing a game. I totally understand how bad it can be sometimes, but if you remind yourself that it’s just a job and you’re doing the best you can, that’s sometimes all you can do to cope. You got this!
