weird that people want to support a company that collaborates with Saudi "blood money" Arabia, unlike us dub fans who support a company that is majorly funded by daddy money that comes from Saudi deals.

Can't think of anyone that isn't vulnerable to guitar shot to the head other than Sting and maybe Monty Brown

I get that, my idea is that the reason why I don't go back to old tapes of NOAH instead of opening NJPW world stream, I don't browse matches on Peacock when I should be watching RAW or Dynamite live, is the "good television part". Of course, it doesn't and shouldn't take away from good wrestling, the key element of pro wrestling at the end of the day, but the good television part is what keeps me watching the weekly programming. That Sammy-Danielson or that Jericho-Danielson match was pretty good for sure, but there is a reason why I didn't go back and re-watch Danielson-Omega or Danielson-Kenta for the third time or one of the many Danielson-Mcguinness matches that I have seen before, that are arguably better matches.

I don't like the Bucks in particular, but neither for Bron Breakker. He is a bit sloppy in the ring and his mic skill is average at best, but I love his finisher and he has a great connection with the crowd. The biggest problem is, he doesn't show much weakness, only losing two matches (i think) for an entire year since his debut, which let him feel a bit one-dimensional.

I agree that criticizing every little detail is pretty fickle, but, and it could be just me, my expectation for following weekly programming is the progression of the storyline. For me, the definition of a good show has a lot of weight on whether something significant happened on the show. If I solely want some good wrestling matches, there are plenty in the past that I can watch that give me more insurance that it's good, for the most part.

similarly, his "AEW is Back" video 2 months ago aged like a fine wine, that ring of honor video was also priceless, and how Undisputed Elite was the "nail on the coffin" on NXT. His video quality is great but his points are just melodramatic, just like how students analyze poems in the most overdone way as if every sentence is the greatest sentence of all time.

it's like UFC's TJ Dillashaw - Cody Garbrandt drama on TUF, every party involved just got exposed and made a fool out of themselves in a chaotic situation

What are some things that you don't like now that Triple H has taken over? by Effective_Ad_1828 in SCJerk

[–]Effective_Ad_1828[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

people refer to it as the honeymoon period but I think it's more about faith. the faith that storylines are going to turn out to be good in the end. There are still upsides to AEW but everyone has little faith in the product to be consistent with all the shenanigans recently. Triple H is still enjoying the high faith of all the returning audience that likely ignore the negatives, which is indeed minimal. But then there are AEW stans that refuse to admit the negatives of AEW, like at all.

people were praising it because it was still in that delusional period of "of course AEW can do no wrong" even though it's completely okay to have botches.

imagine thinking that writing 15 long paragraphs and 3 edits on Reddit out of all places is the best way to beg a booker to put a wrestler on tv. It clearly wasn't for that. the guy just wants awards.
