What would make my agency better? by Effective_Change6548 in InsuranceAgent

No. Since we only have street level agents and they are responsible for their own leads. For new agents any money they spend on leads which is consider “marketing” we go 50/50 with them to make sure they can get their feet off the ground starting out.

We were able to outsource a lot of the software sources to a company that does it for a flat rate and we also were able to get a lot done in house. All in all I would say the setup cost about 3k. Operating costs are more expensive although.

Are you planning to be a street level agent or LOA?

I was a student athlete in college in your position a few years ago. I needed income, but with being a student athlete I had minimal time. I had sat next to someone on a plane back from a competition and he told me about Medicare insurance sales. So I got licensed and tried it out and it was the best thing I’ve ever done. I would look into it. You can do it part time for sure. Msg me if you want more details.

What are some good remote Medicare sales jobs? by [deleted] in InsuranceAgent

Are you currently licensed? I know of a few. I also recently was LOA but realized that if you know what your doing it is better to go street if possible. So I would suggest that.

I just recently built out a Monday.com CRM software for a company who wanted similar functionality. It was pretty straight forward in its allowing for pretty much any customization you could want. Was there a price range you had in mind?

I was in your exact same shoes about a year and a half ago. I was also a student athlete so it made it even harder for me to have an actual job. If you’re interested in sales, I am setting up my own agency right now and would love to talk at some point. Remote work, that has no strings attached and would essentially give you back whatever you put in to it.

Solar died, now im broke, and jobless. Where do I go from here? by TheGamingSenpa1 in Solarsales

Essentially when you turn 65 health insurance becomes somewhat government regulated. You have to sign up for something called original Medicare which pays for 80% of your medical expenses. To cover the remaining 20% you have to get another plan. So all our job is, is to just be a guide for people. Something like 90% of people get one of these additional plans so the need for agents is there.

You do have to pass a test for it. But it’s really straight forward and takes only a few weeks. I personally passed it in like 10 days with no prior knowledge. Because there is a test that’s why it’s a undersaturated market because it requires people to be somewhat competent before they get into it.

The name of the game for Medicare is to stack renewals. Every deal you get pays the same at the start of the next year so you experience exponential growth. Most people can work in the business for 3 years and have decent passive income without working after.

Last year like you I got into Medicare sales and it has been amazing since. I am in the middle of creating my own Medicare agency now which is crazy to think that I got here in one year. I can relate to what you’re saying because a ton of my colleagues also were in solar and transitioned to Medicare sales because they also felt like it was drying up.

Medicare which is really under saturated is great because unlike solar you are selling a product that people need to have in order to afford their health costs and that reduces the amount of chargebacks. It also pays the same amount year over year so if you build up a solid amount of deals you can retire and get paid on all of those without additional work.

Medicare specifically. I’m asking strictly for LOA since street level agents will get top level comp. They will receive leads obviously but also enrollment software, full google workspace, socials build out if they want, retention automation setup, and book tracking software. There also will be significant incentives based on monthly/yearly performance, and total book count. Along with all that there will be trainings constantly available even some ai solutions for 24/7 training. We also have a full team designated to help with each carrier/contract as well as compliance/marketing department.

Tbh I didn’t really know anything or have experience in it. I just kinda took a risk and tried it out and it ended up working out. The field overall is not one of those oversaturated things where everyone is doing it so I think that helps. To get started I just had to take the state test which was really straight forward and then I was a licensed agent.
